after watching this Malone is the big problem he got kill on almost every play

Anybody think that Harris' drops are too far? And he didn't seem to step up in the pocket either. That makes the tackles' jobs very difficult if they can't force edge rushers around the pocket.

After watching that it's pretty mind boggling that people are putting this game on Harris.
The last throw he deserves blame for but most of those were pretty solid reads and throws by Harris.
He is getting WAY too much of the blame for this game.
first couple were rocky but then I thought solid saw some drops then the interception was on him
overall completely agree though

The line really did a pretty good job.
Apparently people are seeing what they want to see. I've watched several times, and it seems like half the time there is a rusher blowing up the middle of the line and breaking the pocket down.

Here's what I see, but I'm far from a guru:
Most plays, Harris did not get a clean pocket. The times he did get a clean pocket and stepped up in the pocket, he did well. There were a couple of passes where he got a clean pocket but did not step up into it, so the DEs got to him. Perhaps he was scared to step up since most of the time he couldn't, but that is just an excuse. He needs to step up in the pocket when he gets a clean pocket.
On plays where Harris had to scramble, it was a bit of a crapshoot whether or not the pass was a good pass. He completed a couple but overall I think when he has to scramble he loses his cool and doesn't throw worth a shite.
Dupre played soft and dropped a few that he should have had. Harris needs his WRs to make the catches they should make.
There were a couple of contested jump passes that just are a product of our bad passing scheme, not really Harris or receiver's fault.
The last throw is absolutely inexcusable. Throw it away, slide down, run forward.. do ANYTHING but throw a pick there. Terrible, terrible decision and I have little doubt that the first thing they did in film study was go to that play and say "What the frick, Brandon?"

I wanted to give harris somewhat of a pass bc of the oline but after watching that I can't. He misses multiple wide open receivers with no pressure. He's consistently late. His footwork is awful in the pocket, needs to learn how to move within the pocket and not just abandon.
ETA: I was proven wrong on the last comment, guess it was just frustration

Wow, for a 5 star receiver in his third year Dupre sure missed a lot of catchable balls. Not saying all were perfectly thrown but damn he has to come up with some of these that is why he was ranked so high.
Thanks for the video I actually feel a little better about Harris performance.

WOW...after watching that there are a few HUGE observations.
1.) Harris is really not missing by much (except for that last int)
2.) Malone could not block a paper bag blowing in a heavy wind!
3.) Dupre can not catch the ball...especially when it hits him in the hands.
4.) Dural looks great. Stiff arms..stutter steps...crisp routes.

KJ malone was getting smoked

God the Oline was terrible.
I really believe Harris would be more effective if he scrambled more. There were quite a few times he could have taken off and picked up some serious yards.

Stephen sullivan in for dupre on jump balls? Athletic 6'6 230 vs 5'10 180 is a damn favorable matchup

don't put our receivers in a position to run after the catch
Our coaches dont do that first

We've spent so much time talking about benching Harris, maybe we should be talking about benching Dupre. Dude was a flat liability out there.

It's been a recurring theme. The Wisconsin coaching staff commented on it.

This was a beautiful play call and should have been a huge gain. Holy shite watch how pathetic the blocking is. We had 4 lineman that failed to block two small linebackers. Hell, 76 completely just fricking turns around and stops playing football

Did Dupre beat the coverage and have to check up his route or not? He was adding distance before having to slow down for the ball. Was the ball too late to take advantage of Dupre being behind the defenders? Was the ball thrown where it allowed the defender to get back into the play?
The defender didn't even know where the ball was until he saw it in Dupre's arms. The defender never even bothered to look for the ball knowing he was torched. The defender had leverage being on the ground while Dupre was in the air, and the defender took it away before Dupre could secure the catch. Plays like that happen all the time in basketball. Smaller players in better position use leverage and end up with possession against bigger players.
Harris' bad throw made that play possible. Dupre could have done a better job of bailing Harris out, but the primary problem was Harris not Dupre.

I literally just LOL'd watching this play. Horrendous. I think Boutte's job was to cover the backside, but clapp and pocic whiffed bad.

The other view for this play shows it had a good chance to go for a TD. Fournette would have had one man to beat in the open field if they get that block down.

Many of his completions aren't even accurate and don't put our receivers in a position to run after the catch
To piggyback off slackster, go back to page 6 and watch his completions. They are ALL on the money.
He really had 2 BAD throws, the short post to Dupre where he overthrew him by 5 yards, and the last int.
