He’s been getting a few more carries each game…Jones is already stud #1

If Berry can start producing in a meaningful way, that will go a long way for us to go on a deeper run with a 2 headed rushing attack. Need to him to live up to the hype. Hopefully young fella can put it all together this weekend.

I think we run the ball a good bit since they're really thin at LB. Keeps our defense fresh in a hostile environment too.

I agree with your sentiments.

Need it? Only if Dillin gets injured. It’s always nice to have a solid RB2, but we won a national championship in 2019 without one. Anyway, I think our #4 RB is as good as the 2019 backup, who was Ty Davis-Price, so I think we are adequate with RB depth.

Definitely expect Berry and running game to break out as I'm looking for us to be dominant in the trenches against SEC players these next 3 weeks. Kentucky doesn't have top to bottom elite talent but they do have some dudes. Will be good work as our team continues to come together and get ready to compete against the top tier SEC teams in November.

Except the offense passing firepower is nowhere near as good as chase, Jefferson, and Marshall. It'd be nice to have a 2nd rb break out.

This game likely is won or last based on how our OL can managed their DL.

Their DL is legit. It can’t look like Ole Miss if we want to win.

Can’t tell if this is just a poor troll.. Burrow, JJ, and Chase ain’t walking in.

We have an elite defense. We just need to ground and pound. Leavitt is okay but starts shaky. He was at his best at asu with a stout run game.

We saw it against ole miss. 2nd half we established the run and Sam hit a deep shot.

Jones needs relief and we don’t have a clear cut 2 yet

That was a common sentiment in 2023 and turned out to be wrong. In walked Jayden Daniels, Nabors, and Thomas. It might very well be wrong now. We won’t see quite that level, but the production is there.

We have two solid backups in Berry and Gage, and Durham as a third backup if necessary. That is good depth. It’s not great depth, because if Dillin gets injured we will take a step back, but that’s what good (not great) depth looks like.

Yeah and do you know how much better that team would’ve been with a run game? Do you not remember JD5 get absolutely rocked? He got knocked out in the Bama game and fumbled against ole miss.

Proving my point here. Leavitt is already nicked up. Can’t rely on his legs come November. He’s not the passer yet of Buttow or JD5. Leavitt has already thrown 7 interceptions.

How about a defense?!

Yeah, I know the value of a run game. I’m a recent expert fan on this subject because I’ve been watching LSU’s excellent run game.

Of course it would be great if we had Fournette backing up Jones. No one is arguing that. We have an excellent first string back, and three guys behind him who can hold the rope plenty well enough to rest the starter. If the starter gets injured we don’t have the great depth necessary to replace him without missing a beat.

Where does this come from? They are 76th in the country against the run, 98th in country in sacks for. That’s not signs of a legit defensive line.

People are overrating Kentucky on every level. Anybody who has seen them play knows they have a mediocre d line and have a bad secondary. They rely on turn overs to win games.

Yes, we have an elite defense that’s what I said. The difference this year is our qb is already working a hamstring injury and thrown 7 interceptions. He’s not Heisman Burrow or JD5. Jayden threw 7 picks the whole year… Leavitt is really good but not elite, yet. We find out in November. Comparing Leavitt to two of the best qb’s in college football is crazy work.

If we can really establish a 2 headed elite rushing attack, it will be tremendous to calm down Leavitt. Wear out the opponent while we stifle other offenses.

I’d prefer a Stacy Gage breakout game

Their D line is not very good at all.
Probably the worst part of the defense.
Their LBs are pretty good however
