Had had shoulder replacement surgery about two weeks before and no way was I going to miss the game.

After about 3 qtrs of watching us look like idiots I was then wishing I had sold my ticket.

I just remembered what day this was. I was filled with dread. The idea of beating an equally good football team twice in the same season didn’t have me feeling good. Still, I thought that we would win or lose a close game. I was unprepared for and I’m still shocked about what happened during the game. What was Miles thinking? No adjustments. 21-0. He ruined what could have been one of the greatest seasons in college football history.

Alabama should not have been in that game. We should not have been put in the position of having to play them twice.

It was baffling and inexplicable.
We went to the National Championship game and didn't try to win. We just kept calling the same disastrous plays, over and over.
I walked back to the hotel stunned and in disbelief...

We've all heard rumors of various things about this game because it was so baffling and unbelievable to watch. I wish someone would write a well sourced book about this game, to expose what happened behind the scenes from the SEC Championship Game through the locker room after this game. Practices, game plans, pregame discussions, halftime, postgame, etc.

Would love to revisit some of those here, just for the sake of discussion.

Ironically, I think that without this game, we don't get 2019's complete mastery with Joe Burrow and co., or 2023's Heisman season with Jayden Daniels.

My GF, who I wasn’t with in 2012 showed me a FB memory where she was complaining about all the LSU posts from that night. She asked me what happened that day. I had to explain that it was probably the most hurtful day in Tiger football history… and she apologized to me. Haha

Maybe you should get a therapist.

Miami of Ohio was worse
UAB was worse
Troy was worse.
Jamie Howard's pic 6 fest was worse

The worst day in LSU athletic history was the day of the Bo Rein plane crash.

I'm still more mad that they were trying to make us beat an Alabama team for the 3rd time in a row even though Oklahoma State had a better SOS than Bama.

2010 Bama 2 weeks to prepare. Lose
2011 Bama 2 weeks to prepare. Lose
2012 Bama, ah maybe with a month to prepare they can get it right.

That was a bad game but not the worst.

As bad as that was, it was still a National championship game against a worthy opponent

I think losing to Troy was worse.

I think being blown out by an ordinary Miss St team two weeks before Troy was the worst game ever. Right then I knew Corch O wasn't up to the task. Surprisingly the team improved that year after the Troy fiasco

It was fricking dreadful. I was so embarrassed.

More importantly, we could have won that game.

First ever panic attack early next morning. Also for whatever reason sat there and had red and white confetti around me. Should have left with everyone else. Still don’t know why I did that. Also been to all 4 games in the Dome and I remember tat one most vividly. Guess it’s true that I hate losing MORE than I enjoy winning

I was at the game. Big mistake. Took 2019 for me to move on.

That game cemented my opinion on Miles. I spent the next 5 seasons railing against him and calling for his job, even the Mett/OBJ/JL years where things were looking better. But I knew after 1/9/2012 that this shite offense was not ever taking us back to a natty and that Bama would eclipse us. And that's exactly what happened. God, I took so much shite in 2013 still saying I wanted him fired.

After the 2008 pick 6 palooza season, Miles went into his shell and never came out. I danced the day after the 2016 Auburn game when it was over.

And before you give me the "winningest coach in school history" line, THAT MAN WASTED SO MUCH TALENT BASED ONLY ON HIS OWN STUBBORN OFFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY.

God dammit I'm still mad.
