Sad part, lsu fans want to care. I do! I don’t believe the crowd will ever be like the 90s when duke and unlv would come but it can be loud and a real home court.
If Woodward brought back Wade there would be an instant excitement. I’d buy season tickets again.

LSU fans deserve better. We want better, and We will support better.

Contrary to popular belief, the posters McPuff and McGraff are not the same person. However, both are related to the Crime Dog.

I remember when I used to care enough to follow LSU basketball. Scotty Woodward will be happy to know that not only have I not attended a game in person this season, but I don't even watch them when they are on tv.

I stopped watching and remotely caring after the Texas game, when I knew the season was basically over thereafter

This would have likely increased to about 15 PPG in SEC play as he only averaged 23 minutes during pre- conference as they were giving more playing time to others.

They were giving playing time to others because he was what he always has been. Inconsistent. He had a great opening night, the disappeared in the next three. And it's not like LSU was just coasting against bad opponents. They were losing to Alabama St. at the half and getting pummeled on the glass. Against KSU he was on the bench because McMahon accidently figured out Chest may be a damn good rebounder. And LSU struggled the entire game vs. Charleston Southern before pulling away at the very end. Yet, despite all of that the "lynchpin" of the season was playing the fewest minutes of any starter aside from R. Miller.

This fantasy land that Reed would have made a massive difference is just that. A fantasy. One not based upon any semblance of reality. He had two good performances vs. Pitt and UCF. He had solid games last year vs. Dayton, Wake Forest, Syracuse too. Then averaged 6 points, 4 rebounds in the first 11 SEC games.

Would this team be marginally better with Reed in the lineup? Sure. But acting like this was an All SEC level loss that just sunk poor old Matt's NCAA Tournament hopes is absurd and just this year's version of the main excuse used to absolve McMahon of any responsibility for yet another bad season. You don't get to a below .500 winning % (overall) and below .300 winning % (SEC) over the course of nearly 90 games by just having "bad luck".

They don't care. They are taking money from that and spreading it to baseball, women's basketball and gymnastics. Plus this year on football, increasing it.

I think admin has decided it needs to take a hit somewhere to pay for things we are good at and decided to say F u to men's basketball

Which is sad if true because LSU has put a very good if not great product on the hardwood the last 45 years more often than not and produced incredible PMAC and NCAA Tourney memories which will live on. Men's basketball is a money sport in college athletics, we should apportion funds accordingly.

i hope its not true and Mcmahon is gone soon. I had been a supporter or iffy supporter at best. But I have this year for the first time, just stopped watching games.

Simply the wrong hire... a coach who can't recruit SEC level players, has no fire on the sideline, and cannot elevate his coaching style to an SEC level caliber coach

I was at every game in the late 70s and 80s. That's when the deaf dome got its name.

Last night I thought, what the heck let me watch these guys. It didnt last long as all they were doing was taking terrible shots. We had no 2 point baskets as one point. That it is just terrible basketball. Something needs to change.

I was positive on CMM when he was hired and have tried to support him but this year has been brutal to watch. Unfortunately I still think he will be back next year due to his buyout. At this point I believe everyone can say that he was a poor hire

nice shot fired at woody. let's see if he fires him and admits his screw up.

I wouldn't blame Woodward for hiring McMahon. It wasn't a bad hire, and no one wanted to come here at that time.
What I would blame him for is not firing him after this season. It's ok that McMahon didn't work out. It's no one's fault.

Are you serious no one's fault Fatty Patty Woodward is the one who gave Mcloser that absolute ridiculous contract,so if things turned out like they have turned out Mcloser can't coach you can't fire him because of the huge buyout! I mean who gives a mid major unproven coach at the power 5 level an 8 year contract with a huge buy out, that sits solely on Fatty Patty Woodward, and if Woody would have done his job an actually gone after anybody and everybody aka Golden at Florida, the Vanderbilt coach etc. He could have got somebody that could coach and win!
