Need to let Max start but Brennan get to play meaningful snaps throughout the year

If Max is named the starter doubtful Brennan sticks around.

Brennan will be the starter. Yall really think that we go to a Jake offense and all the stuff that Myles learned under Brady wont pay huge dividends?

Fine. But there's nowhere else he could play this year if he doesn't bail pretty quick. Think he'll quit and enter the portal the second he hears he's not starting instead of waiting to (hopefully) play if something happened to Johnson? I don't.

Max just has that “it” factor, ya know

No... I don't think everyone knows that at all.

“It” = won us 2 games needing assists from an Ole Miss QB that threw 5 picks & a shoe.

Kyle Trask, a Heisman candidate, had two picks in that game including a pick six. How many did true freshman Max Johnson have on the road at The Swamp in his first career start without his top two recieving threats or top two RBs (in the 2nd half)?

Corral had 4 TDs to 5 INTS while Max Johnson had 5 TDs to 1 INT while throwing for over 430 yards and added another 40+ yards on the ground (again without Terrace Marshall, Gilbert, TDP or Emery). I'm not saying he has the "it" factor already, but I damn sure ain't gonna downplay how well he played with a depleted offense when almost everyone thought LSU was heading for a 3-7 season heading into the last two games.

Max Johnson made big plays and took care of the ball better than the more experienced QBs LSU was facing in those games.

When I watched the spring I saw Max Johnson looking decent while running by defensive player that could have lit him up if they were allowed.

Any coach with a brain starts the senior until he messes up. Max will get reps in every game.

Myles is definitely the better passer.

Myles has a better arm and throws a pretty deep ball . Those are his strengths. But he completed 60% of his passes to Johnson's 58% for the year, so accuracy-wise, there was very little difference.

Thus, you can make an argument that despite each having good numbers in all 5 games one QB seemed to be better than the other late in the games

Myles battled back hard in that Mizzou game, but couldn't punch it in at the end because his abdomen was torn.

For MSU, Myles definitely appeared very timid.

Orgeron said all I needed to hear when he said “only 1 QB is 2-0”

Max will start and he will recite this same line when the starter is announced

And Brennan has NO touch in the short passing game along being a sitting duck with happy feet in the pocket.

Amazing, according to Cody Worsham, the stats from last season, he graded out near the top of the SEC as well as the nation.

Too bad he has no touch and can't move.
Such a waste.

Just imagine had Myles Brennan been the starting QB in 2019, as opposed to Joe Burrow in the Alabama game.

LSU would have been crushed because Myles can't evade the rush and he also can't run. Without decent mobility, Myles would have become a liability.

Plus, if he wouldn't be getting sacked, he would be getting pressured so much that he would have inevitably been very inaccurate and prone to throwing interceptions.

Myles is probably good enough to beat most teams. However, against the upper echelon teams who can really get after the passer, he'd inevitably become a liability.

Give me Max.

Go watch 3rd downs of games Myles has played in during his career. Dude just doesn’t have it.

People saying he was on a record pace before he was hurt, didn’t watch the games or are clueless about winning football games. Pocket presence and feel is the worst in the history of a QB.

How to have your opinions mean nothing immediately.

Even if you don't like him for whatever reason.. we've had some actually awful qbs that you're disrespecting

People blame him for losing a couple games and conveniently ignore how horrible the defense and OL play was. If LSU had a defense from any of the other 19 previous years Myles starts the season 3-0. Football fans, especially LSU fans, saying it's the QB's fault we are 1-2 when that quarterback has 1100 yards and 11 TDs in those games....... I feel like I'm taking crazy pills

I’ll be damned. Someone with a brain posting in the rant.

This is so incredibly overblown. Brennan is the clearly much better thrower.

Is it though? You would think after a couple of years of Joe Burrow, you people would realize how important that is. Guarantee the players on that team know.
