Halloween 3 - Season of the Witch

Widely mocked when it came out - primarily due to the absence of Michael Myers - but I gotta say this one is pretty well-crafted.
Stonehenge? Cursed masks? Eye gouging?
I’m a big fan of this sleeper from 82. Kinda moves to the beat of its own drum.

Its biggest flaw was naming it Halloween 3. Had it been named something else, it would have been lauded.
I remember it being not overly good, but also weirdly interesting in its own right, if that makes sense.
And I remember being absolutely terrified of the mask/bugs scene when I was a kid. That shite fricked with my head big time.

Halloween 3 was a decent movie. I think the original plan was to make the Halloween franchise a set of anthology movies and michael myers wouldn't be the only character. Probably would have been more interesting than releasing the same same exact michael myers movie every other year.

Yep, as a stand alone halloween/horror flick, it holds up well.

yeah would have ended up being way better than pretty much every thing from Return through Curse.
i dont know what the board's opinion is on H2O and Resurrection, but i like both of those movies.

It was done a couple of decades later in a single movie without MM and named it Trick R Treat (a fricking fantastic Halloween movie).

Is this the one where somebody puts a jack o lantern on their head and it turns into cockroaches or something? I remember seeing that as a kid and it freaked me out lol.

That’s the one.
Other main thing that stands out to me is Dan O’Herlihy (The Old Man from Robocop) picking chunks of scenery out of his teeth as the Silver Shamrock company head.
