That stat is just hard to believe that an LSU player hasn’t had an extra base hit since Feb. wow
Especially given he has above average speed. But ya gotta at least hit it out the infield to get an EB hit

He doesn’t. He is abnormally slow for someone his size.

He has the hitting skills of a pitcher, the speed of a catcher, and the bunting skills of power hitter. A truly once in a generation offensive player.

No Henry no shot

When he didn't come back in the third it probably sealed our fate. If we happen to get through this series, we do not have the arms to go very far. It just is what it is.
If we had a healthy Hill and Henry we would be favorites to win it, it is all a about pitching when you get to this time of year and you need three arms to win it.

We haven't heard much but it is assumed he is done. His velocity was down considerably and when asked how he was he replied 'not good'. If you remember when Walker went down a in 17' we figured out his fate a week or two after we finished playing. I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar with Henry.

Woody asked him after game yesterday if he was willing to go down with the ship?
So if he would have started Hal today and lost, Paul was gone.

They'd have to be pitching underhanded to justify having Hughes in the lineup. I've tried to defend him but our backs are against the wall.

I was actually somewhat shocked to hear that he had an XBH at all as an LSU Tiger.
Had to look it up, turns out he has exactly 2.

I am not sure what you are saying here but what I am saying our loss was about pitching.
You can blame Hughes all you wan't and he has been bad while in the batters box but it has been pitching all year.

If it benefits us to do bench him in the most important game of the season, why the frick didn’t our brilliant coaching staff do it sooner? I mean his slump didn’t just start recently did it?

And for the record I think Paul has been a dam good baseball coach, but his decision making has steadily been getting worse in my opinion.

No, dude. Dude, no. That loss was about poor plate discipline, ridiculous base running mistakes and the inability to get a timely base hit in multiple situations. You held the opposing team to 6 runs despite getting squeezed at the plate. In college baseball, that should be enough.
