all this spending is gonna stop. Ain’t nobody making money off these expenditures. Once the new wears off no kid is getting a million dollars except surefire face of the program kids.

While you have a point, I don’t think you’re going to stop certain programs from going crazy to win especially teams that haven’t achieved that type of success. A team like Texas Tech won’t stop until they get a natty and even then.. they may just double down to keep it going.

disagree BIG TIME. Schools like Indiana, Texas Tech, and Vandy doing what they are doing, it is going to entice any mega rich college football fan to want to get his school up to snuff.
Oh, they will play in the sandbox for awhile, but all rich people get tired of becoming less rich.

I hope he invested it because he won't be making much more playing football.
I don't know. He threw for over 4000 yards last year behind a veteran line.

If he gets on an NFL team that has a line that can protect him he's proven he can deliver the ball effectively.

So glad people are starting to realize this. We've never had this level of terrible QB play before

None of those former quarterbacks got paid millions while in college.

how much they did or didn't get paid has nothing to do with how good they were at QB

Josh Booty was all-SEC.
Josh Booty also got benched in that season multiple times. He had 17 TDs to 15 INTs and only completed 50% of his passes. He was not good. Go look at the QBs in the SEC in 2000. Jared Lorenzon was the 1st team All-SEC QB. After him was a bunch of suck, including Booty

Booty started the season 2-2, getting blown out by Auburn and losing to UAB. He's benched and Davey inserted. Davey gets hurt against Florida, Booty comes back in. He plays the bottom of the SEC for a month, then gets blown out to close the season by Arkansas. Then he gets benched at halftime of the bowl game. He was awful. He also had the luxury of throwing passes to arguably the best WR in LSU history (reed), an All-SEC running back (Toefield) plus Domanick Davis, a good defense, and a good OL.

Don’t know who signed off on this but the money could have been better spent with securing more offensive linemen.

Yeah, but the year before he had 7TD and 19 INT. He was the most improved!

I was a kid, but what I remember about Josh Booty is that if a defense player breathed on him, he would fall down. Sound familiar?

Why? He stayed loyal and came back and the coaches put him with the 1st team. He's done nothing wrong!

They can't put together a running game, the O-line struggles and guys get little separation downhill. His abdomen hurts with every move reportedly, worse when he throws, even hindering his motion.

This team was overrated all year and tried smoke and mirrors, but it caught up with them. Say hi to 8-4 at best.

Give Nuss a break. I read that Alabama offered him $4.5 million to transfer.

They paid the #1 girls softball pitcher from Stanford 1mil to move to Lubbock, Tx.
They have a billionair backer. That's where the constant flow of big money is coming from. We need billionaires, else it may slow down for some schools.
