look up the Chad Luop and Jamie Howard years. Jamie Howard once threw four interceptions in the fourth quarter, three being pick sixes

Either way, ready for the Nuss Bus to be over with, it's been miserable

Back in the day I would have said we shouldn't boo a kid playing ball, But now, those kids are getting PAID and we have every right to boo. Suck it up buttercup, not sorry!

This is exactly right.

He isn't a student. He does not bleed purple and gold. He is not doing it for the love of the game or the university. He is not doing for the chance at a professional career.

He did not come back for one more year to help the team. In all likelihood, he leveraged his last year to get more NIL money after Underwood pulled out the rug. Everyone made a business decision.

He is a professional and deserves to be treated at such.

Unfortunately he loved LSU.
Unlike Kelly and Woody.

Now, how much are LSU Boosters paying the rest of the team?
How many offensive players have earned their NIL?
Are any on offense playing winning football?

The Bayou Traditions Funds posters were on here after Underwood switched to UM. They were telling everyone that every fan who wanted to have an opinion on the LSU football team had to contribute to the fund.

I imagine that many people are here contributed something to that fund; and, I imagine that the fund helped pay the Nuss Bust.

None of those former quarterbacks got paid millions while in college. Nuss has. Most people get fired if they are doing horrible at their job yet for some reason he is still the quarterback. If you cannot see that you are the idiot.

Probably the last money he will ever make playing football.

I’m totally disappointed in Nuss this year but I also appreciate the fact he came back this year. He could have left last year and he chose to come play one more year. The guy loves LSU and we need to remember that regardless of his production on the field. By the way, it’s not like he had an offensive line to give him a chance this year.

Where are all these numbers coming from? Over the past 3 days I’ve seen people on here say $4 million, $3.4 million, $3.1 million
months ago it was stated north of 2 million. I think some booster or somebody who is close to a booster mentioned he got paid 3rd round money to come back.

Also, just for reference, Jayden Daniels wasn't even the highest paid player at LSU. Not even top 3. Will Campbell was paid more, Perkins was paid more and Emery Jones was paid more off the top of my head.

all this spending is gonna stop. Ain’t nobody making money off these expenditures. Once the new wears off no kid is getting a million dollars except surefire face of the program kids.
disagree BIG TIME. Schools like Indiana, Texas Tech, and Vandy doing what they are doing, it is going to entice any mega rich college football fan to want to get his school up to snuff.

Manning’s gift package as well. Can’t blame these unproven kids for taking unearned $$. But it’s insane what CFB has become.

LSU fans in a nutshell...

Complaining about other people's money being spent...blaming someone because they aren't good enough to overcome some pretty big deficiencies on the team that impact his performance.

They feel personally harmed by this unfortunate reality and would like to make sure the player knows that they are extremely unhappy that they have had to put up with this.

That was a ploy by Alabama to make Nussmeier think he was so great that he didn't have to improve or work in the offseason. And, it caused LSU to waste money on him.

It worked.

What do you think the other guys that are making 50,000 and feel they are working harder are thinking.

The state of Louisiana is not made for NIL players. Not Nuss, but most grew up poor and once they get paid a little money, they think they have hit the big time. Only a few will see the incentive to get better each day in the offseason.

It used to be that you work your butt off in College to get paid in the NFL. I bet most of these players were better as a freshman (Perkins, Dunham, etc) than they are now. Same goes for portal players.

I'm not saying they don't play hard on Saturdays. I'm saying they don't prepare "hard" in the offseason.
