LSU blew it
Blaming that on the judges is stupid

Ranked number one then can't even make it to the final 4. I guess Clark is not the best coach at LSU right now. Well, he's the last one to win a national championship, so I think he still holds the title.
Another girls team that couldn't handle pressure today.

I’ve never been a fan of “sports” that have a third party “judge” telling me who did better. I’ll watch just for entertainment purposes but you can’t tell me that bias’ doesn’t come into play, it’s human nature.

You misspelled “Underachieved”

Yes, the season is over for them

What’s sad, is that they actually finished 4th out of 8 but since they were competing in the night division, they don’t go to the FINAL 4. That’s about the dumbest s*#t imaginable.

I don't understand how gymnastics works apparently. They finished a Top 4 score. They were second of four in their bracket. How does that not advance?

I don’t get this sport. How can human judges score teams who basically all tie and are only separated by tenths of points?!?

Only the top two teams in each session advance. LSU's score was higher than Mizzou but since we finished third in our section we go home and Mizzou goes to the championship.

Well that’s the dumbest shite I’ve ever heard of.

Some of the scores seemed off, but honestly LSU did not execute like they had all season. Despite that, the score would have been good enough to advance if they had been in the other bracket. It sucks, but they just had a bad day when they couldn't afford to.

The gymnasts for the other teams didn't hop on their landings, right?
bullshite! LSU was clearly judged more harshly. Why did Nikki Smith of Mich State who had a huge lurch on beam to keep from falling score higher than Sierra or Coen who had relatively clean routines?
Why did Drayton score 9.8125 on vault when she had only a slight half step forward. There were full steps scoring higher on other teams.
Jade Carey stepped out and got a 9.9. Compare that to Konnor's floor which had no discernible large issues.

Ditto..I’ll watch gymnastics, figure skating, diving, and even boxing for entertainment..but because of the subjectivity of “judges”, I don’t worry about the outcomes. I get pissed enough as it is with baseball and the umps.

There are not "conference judges" like football and basketball which is a good thing because everyone is "supposed" to be judged equally. I really wish they had a rule requiring judges to recuse themselves if they went to one of the universities competing. Although LSU has had a gymnastics team since 79 when DD started it, there have not been elite until very recently.
Like diving, and figure skating there would not be a way to do this sport without judges. Although they do have clearly spelled out deductions for certain offenses, a judge can easily say, "I didn't think she did that".
