I know most people are upset about the game yesterday, and rightfully so, but reality is LSU will not be firing Les next week nor in the next 3 years.

LSU admin and a handful of fans are the reason Les wasn't let go last year, and nothing has changed from last year to this year.

Les' buyout will be a little cheaper, but LSU now has Aranda an several other coaches buyouts included. Furthermore, LSU is actually now going to be a less enticing job for others out there. Simply put, Les will be the coach for the next 4 years.

In the end, you can either stop watching, watch and take your heart out of it, or just stress yourself for no reason.

Don't take it out on the players though, because just like with Mack Brown at Texas in the end, they are a product of their "leader" and his attitude.

Bruh. Alleva had Les fired and Jimbo hired last year and it got squashed in the final hour. You don't know what you're talking about.

He was gone last year if he didn't beat A&M. He will be gone this year if they team continues to look this bad (and there's no reason to think it won't). It doesn't matter what it costs, money will be found if they lose four or five games.

If you're implying that LSU won't make a change after this season if the team goes 8-4 or 7-5, I don't agree.

But it's been one game. We have 3 more months to see how the season plays out.

You're dumb.

He won't be fired mid season, but he won't be here for 4 more years.

I'm going out on the limb and saying you are wrong. When Butts stop filling the seats, monies are not spent on concessions, people are not filling the restaurants and motels on weekends, Baton Rouge economy takes even another punch in the gut, I believe the change will be made, just like it was with Mike Archer, Curley Hallman and Gerry Dinardo.

Unfortunately, I think the OP is right. Alexander and his henchmen are dead set on making a political issue out of the financial situation at LSU. Spending millions on buyouts and new contracts doesn't seem like it's in the cards.

Why? Because we have a bad season?

That's about how the last 3 seasons played out and he is still here.

Les will continue to run his 1920's offense and will not make it by week 7. Book it.

Why did the "this guy gets it" video and thread get whacked?

That is BS.

Only lost 4+ regular season games in 2014. And last year's season-ending drama hadn't happened yet.

Miles will be fired if LSU goes 8-4 or 7-5, IMO.

Miles won't be fired mid-season. Not a chance.

Only thing that might happen is for him to announce his retirement (effective after the season) during the season. That would likely be with some insisting (the threat of being fired) by some hire ups. But it wouldn't be an official firing.
