Well then we may be fked if its a close game. I dont like hearing these words out of Mile's mouth.

Bama lost some unreal talent in the front seven. They will not have that kind of talent this year.
For probably the first time in all of college football history, Bama can place a 5* player at every position in its 2016 defensive line-up.

Yup, but fortunately experience means a lot in college football and they won't be as experienced this season as last.. and we will be.

The more I rewatch this game.. the more obvious it is the run was not happening and Harris was making some connections.
One thing I noticed though was after the TD pass to Dural, Harris came off the field limping.. I hope he can stay healthy and have a successful season. He really does make some incredible throws.. He has to get better at the touch/short game.. but also the receivers have to step up..and I believe with Craig coaching them, they will.
There was a funny play when Harris was running for his life (and again he looked slower than he should be, he should have easily gotten around the edge) and he was getting tackled in the backfield so he threw a pass for an illegal completion to Hawkins I believe. It was actually an incredible one handed catch by Hawkins..

And when they did the first pass of the second half was picked off which killed momentum of the entire game.

Our running game is extremely deceptive.
I've never heard anyone say that. Even Miles has said "We're a predictable bunch" when talking about our offensive play calling.

This tired myth that all these cfb programs run these innovative and wildly intricate plays is just utter bullshite.
Exactly.
If CLM had focused on the passing game and it hadn't worked, everyone would have yelled about how he hadn't put the ball in the hands of the nation's leading rusher.

It's worth less than nothing. Just another internet lie. Had you said you heard it from your third cousins girlfriends roommate it would have been more believable.

the touchdown to Dural was the play that required Harris to get surgery for a sports hernia after the season. That is part of the reason why he was pretty awful the last 4 games of the regular season.

That's his style. I get the switching it up. But if we are all being honest, the oline got dominated once again. Bama had 8-9 guys ready to sub in on any given play.
LSU also couldn't stop the run.
To top it all off, your QB stunk and couldn't even make the throws when they were called.

. It speaks volumes that our offense couldn't adjust to an injured TE & FB.
Gordon was out most of the season. Pretty sure LSU won 9 games without him.

The zone read threat was also out the window after that too. I think that was gonna be a good portion of our run game once Miles and company realized that their front 7 was getting such great push up front and when he got hurt it really fricked us.
True Dat. People forget the progress our O was making between the time they went up 10-0 to when we tied it up. The read option was going on and BH was becoming a true dual threat. Then the injury and INT changed everything. O was getting pushed in when the plays became predictable and the read option was no longer an option with BH being limited. It also showed how little confidence they had in AJ when it was obvious BH was injured. Was not even considered an option the rest of the way of that game and the season.

Losing to Bama was not what got Les in hot water last year. We were not supposed to win that game anyway. Losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss the following games in the manner that we lost was what put him on the ropes. I was mostly aggrevated that we wasted the first 8 games last season and did not do more to develop a possession style passing game with WR screens, RB screens, RB hot routes, and slants.
this. so much this.

Don't doubt it's true, but at this point it's clickbait.

Did you watch the games? Harris over throws a lot. Making his screens and hb passes utterly useless.
Why would a coach call plays the QB can't make? Eastern Michigan? The game was close because no body could catch the damn ball. It wasn't until Les and cam said frick it and rammed it down their throats.
Let's not forget you miss a warm up game everyone in the conference gets and you get to play 2 teams that skull fricked you last year early. You are supposed to win those games, not get cute.

The players had "zero" confidence in the game plan. 2012 NCG revisited.

If you gear practice all week towards the run, good luck against Bama who practices pass defense all week knowing the opponent csntvwin with the run against them.
