The more I rewatch this game.. the more obvious it is the run was not happening and Harris was making some connections.

I've never heard anyone say that. Even Miles has said "We're a predictable bunch" when talking about our offensive play calling.

If you cant see we were out talented in 2015 then you just dont want to see it. Bama's 2015 draft class alone was almost bigger than lsu's 2014 &2015 draft class combined.

I agree we were out talented up front. We got whipped on both sides up front but give Kiffen credit. He did a great job softening up the defense before turning Henry loose.

Our defense was suspect all year. Specifically our pass def.

Yup, but fortunately experience means a lot in college football and they won't be as experienced this season as last.. and we will be

This is true. We have more experience than Bama at many key positions. One major exception is LT with Cam Robinson versus our pass rushers. And that is why Vegas likes us THIS YEAR.

Now next year is all bets off since, as the articles alludes to, they have five stars more talented than the other four and five stars starting sitting on bench. Only reason they will be there most of the time and not starting is due to their lack of experience. They will get playing experience during this year to be full and ready next year. 2017 will be a banner year for the Tide. They would have to get into some unbelievable injury trouble or have a Ole Miss game like this past year in order to lose. Predicting them to take it all and go 15-0 around this time next year will make a lot of sense. But that is NEXT YEAR. This year they will be loaded but will be more susceptible to one or even two losses.

The atrocious special teams didn't help. A short field puts so much pressure on a defense. If you have weak links they get exposed quick.

For probably the first time in all of college football history, Bama can place a 5* player at every position in its 2016 defensive line-up. Alabama's Nothing-But-5-Stars Defense

They could potentially but won't. Writer essentially admits this in a way, but sugarcoats the situation. Keep in mind this is a Bama homer journalist. See my other post on lack of experience issue. Nonetheless, their scenario sets them up for a squad that could potentially surpass their 2011 defense NEXT YEAR when they will have an ideal balance between experience and overall talent on D.

In comparison our D has more real game experience. Our opposing OL compared to their DL have more real time game experience, despite the fact we are replacing our tackles. Our LBs and Secondary are more experiences compared to theirs too.

What are you talking about? Miles is one of the best run game coaches in cfb. You do realize that those great oregon offenses ran all of 3 run plays all year right? Everyone on the planet knows a zone read is coming but they EXECUTE. This tired myth that all these cfb programs run these innovative and wildly intricate plays is just utter bull shite. We run out of more formations that almost every team in cfb.

I agree with you there but what everyone seems to understand except for Les is that Alabama struggles against the spread run scheme and their biggest strength is stopping I formation power run plays. What I don't get is why does Les continue to go right at the strength of Alabama, who has more talent, more strength, better execution and better coaching. I know you said we couldn't run the read option with Harris because he got hurt but that's the only read option run play is there? Where were the jet sweeps and other zone read plays?

I was ready for Les to leave at the end of the year. I see now, after years of the same shite, he will NEVER change! We will continue to struggle and lose to teams that are as big and as strong as us, like Alabama, year in and year out.

Get ready for the same disappointing shite this year with a slightly better record but still not in contention at the end of the year. We will go 10-2 with back to back losses to Alabama and Arkansas and possibly a loss sooner than that.

Wait and see. Pass no pre-judgement. Keep an open mind. Maybe there will be change or at lest few wrinkles, maybe not. Let it play out and stay positive is my advice.

Time will tell how this offense will evolve or if will not.

We can revisit this in November

If you can't block up front there is no offensive scheme that's going to be successful other tHan 5 wide quick passes which Harris can't execute

" you're trying to tell me that the offense is all roses"

Our offense lead the SEC in rushing and our offense gained more total yards per game than the Bama offense.

We need to become more efficient/effective passing the ball, but let's not pretend that there is something terribly wrong with our offense because that's simply not true. IMO

I'm more worried about our defensive front 7 then I am our offense, but I know it's more popular to crap on the offense.

So the man whose team had (at the time) the leading candidate for the Heisman favored letting his stud have the ball over letting his struggling qb sling it.

Shocking...

Were these stats against sec teams only or were the out of conference games included included with our sec performances??

Vs SEC, LSU #1 in Rush ypg, while only 5th in Rush att/gm. LSU blew away the rest of the SEC by well over 1/2 yd/att also.
