Thats why Miles isn’t really to blame here either

The university president and board knew and was aware about this as it was between two athletes/students

At that point, it’s the job of the football coach to listen to their decision. If they tell the coach the player is good to play, not exactly sure what you want Miles to do?

You assume O knew about the allegations of assault. It’s possible O was addressing the locker room talk of multiple players sleeping with this guy’s girlfriend without any knowledge of the assault allegation.

They said he has a bad rep off the field. Women, partying etc

You just described the lifestyle of 90% of college age males

That doesn't make them all rapists

I didn't know 90% of college males got arrested for strangulation. I guess I was lucky.

Should point out that the girl claiming to have filed a Title 9 complaint has provided no proof she actually did so.

And just happens to have filed a lawsuit in June alleging the NCAA fails to protect victims of sexual assault.

Curious to see how O tries to talk his way out of this one

Do you know how many 'girlfriends' get caught banging some ballplayer after partying all night. Most don't get found out by their boyfriends, but some who do claim the sex was not consensual.

Was Guice convicted of anything? Unless and until he his, you are talking out of your arse.

I'm not going to take sides until a full investigation is conducted and there is evidence, but 2 different allegations does not look good for Guice...he may be done playing professional football if true

The rumor amongst the team was Guice had SEX with the other dudes gf. There was no indication of assault that O was aware of, per the article, to arbitrate. Also, what kind of punk arse man can work with another man that raped a woman in his life and sit idly by while he spreads rumors. The way the redshirt handled things would indicate consensual sex, in the eyes of Orgeron only. Don’t take that last sentence as mitigating the assault, but there is no evidence O was aware of one.

I have followed some of the Baylor fallout and the issues stem from Title IX procedures. Coaches that know of a possible issue had to turn it in and follow up to make sure it was addressed. Those that didn’t were fired.

Obviously those in administration have to make sure the entire protocol and complete investigations are performed regardless of whether law enforcement is involved. If not you get fired.

Then it goes to court. Several of the players accused were not found to be guilty in court.

The school will still have to get rid of those who didn’t make sure the complaint was fully investigated and come up with a plan for many changes to be made going forward regardless of what happens in the courts.

The boyfriend on the team should be chastised, as well. Apparently he knew about a rape. Didn’t say anything. Coach O tried to intervene in a way that anyone would when dealing with what seemed like college students sleeping around. He STILL doesn’t say “No Coach! She was raped!”.... but “feels” like O knew the sex was not so consensual.

Get the frick out of here with that. He ought to feel ashamed.

The comments read as if the talk in the locker room was that it was, in fact, consensual. Tit seems as though Guice told it that way, and the player clearly speculates what he presumed O knew.

This is almost certainly a cliche; drunk chick at a party who wakes up next to a cat that isn't her boyfriend, and claims rape. A he said/she said deal, which would explain why he was never arrested at the time. I'd be willing to bet my next paycheck on it.

The first woman, who did not play "sports, said she lived in the same apartment complex as many athletes, Guice included, as a freshman in 2015-16. Early in the second semester, she hosted a party that Guice and several other football players attended."

If a woman is raped then her 1st move is to report it to the Police not to a coach or Administrator.

Neither of these two females made the effort to make a formal complaint or file charges. Now several years later these women are supposedly raped? One of them says she was extremely drunk and doesn't remember much so how does she remember exactly if she gave permission or not?

One of them says she had never met Guice but met Guice in a bar one night and he came home with her. Well that kinda sounds like she picked him up and
had a 1 night stand. Especially if she didn't file charges.

How are some of you are so quick to blast Guice for these charges when they themselves didn't think enough of the situation to file charges at the time it supposedly happened.

Whining about the school not checking into charges when they themselves didn't even contact Police is ridiculous.

Damn, so this is the character concerns during the draft. How in the hell did this stay out of the local media for so long.

Considering Guice just got kicked off the Redskins for domestic violence, I’ll take that bet with you all day and twice on Sunday.
