Any chance Moscona discusses this today?

I don't listen to him. Is he worth the time?

According to the American Medical Association (1995), sexual violence, and rape in particular, is considered the most under-reported violent crime. Common reasons for individuals not reporting crime include fear of not being believed, insecurity, and fear of getting into trouble

Guess what? The AMA is not where you go to file charges of rape. Also, many times alleged rape isn't rape at all and it isn't reported to authorities because the so called victims contributed to the situation.

In addition the AMA leaves out the part that they are legally required to report alleged crimes to the Police so I have questions about how they know so many are "unreported"?

Just sayin'.

The laws in Louisiana would support her claim.

Well you are correct with one problem. Neither of these two women bothered to put it in the Court Of Law. It is their responsibility and if they did not deem it viable to file criminal charges then whose fault is that?

You don't try cases on Twitter, Facebook, or even on Tiger Rant.

WTF makes you think that anyone should be locked up on a felony of this type based on the self admitted severely limited memory of these "ladies"?

BECAUSE ITS RAPE!

Does the same thing apply to men? If a man passes out drunk...and some charged woman beater football player has sex with him...you don't think they should be locked up on a felony?

I never said he was guilty or innocent. I’m saying that life is full of gray areas. If there is a gray area where history shows a potential outcome, then that outcome is more likely.

So under your "system" you convict based on what? Non filed charges? Your dislike of Guice?

What are you using to replace the Legal System of the United States and the US Constitution? I guess two drunk girls with vague memories and your brilliant
"Gut Insticts" are what should determine a man's life and future. Thank God we have a legal system and not jack offs deciding based on nothing more than a feeling.

There is no "gray area". You either file charges or forget it.

Why do you think we have Laws, Attorneys, Judges, Courts, Appeals Courts, all the way up to State Supreme Courts and the US Supreme Court?

Hell, we don't need that. We will convict on internet opinions by people who never read a civics book much less anything else. Ridiculous.

Well the good news for them is they still can file charges.

By you description...were are 100% certain it was rape.

What if the other party was also drunk and doesn't remember? How is it possible to prove rape without a witness in that situation? You can probably prove something sexual happened, but how can you prove rape as well as who did the raping if both parties are so intoxicated that they can't remember the details?

I'm not trying to be a contrarian. I'm genuinely curious and not familiar with the law in this situation.

One went to the Title 9 coordinator and LSU didn’t do anything.. it’s not like she’s making up the accusation 4 years later.

She didn't report it the the school though, a counselor from her rehab facility did.

Neither girl ever actually reported anything.

This. I can't defend Guice, I don't have a clue what he did or didn't do.

I can defend the school and Coach O however. It sounds like nothing was pursued simply because the allegation wasn't from the alleged victim, just a 3rd party source with some vague knowledge about what happened.

As for Coach O, GTFO here. This article is such a poorly written turd. It was so fricking irresponsible and honestly unnecessary to even mention Coach O since he wasn't even the coach, and not even use the words "Les Miles" in the article since he was the guy in charge.

This is a questionable incident in which the lines of rape and consent were extremely blurred, there were no witnesses to anything, and no formal allegations brought. No other similar incidents were mentioned, so how can anyone possibly jump to the conclusion that this was a "cover up" or that LSU has shown a pattern of discrediting victims of sexual abuse. Wasn't a stud 5-star cut from the team like 2 seasons ago for this very thing? I don't even remember who it was.

In a situation like this, why didn't she report he incident to the proper authorities, i.e. Police? At that point a rape kit would have been utilized and any forensic evidence collected!

So it's not rape because charges weren't filed. That's also not how the law works. A crime can be committed without charges being filed. Someone can be a victim of a crime without pressing charges.

Pressure from the powers that be within the program, sometimes the victims own family, to keep quite when it involves a high profile athlete. Not saying that’s what happened here but it happens.

Hope Guice didn’t blow all of signing bonus because he’s pretty much finished in the NFL. A RB with a bum knee is enough but all this other stuff seals the deal.
