They were all in one recruiting class, weve signed 22 dlinemen since then. Shouldnt be an excuse. Means the coaches didnt recruit well enough from 2010-2014.

Those guys wouldnt be eligible this year even if they redshirted as freshmen.

bullshite! Young? WTF does that mean when your job is simply to not get blown out of position. It has been a consistent struggle for years on the DL and can no longer be blamed on age. Theya re NOT being coached up, they are just not up to speed. No one is asking for all americans, but my GOd can they do anything?

Struggle for years?? You mofos are just finding shite for bitch about. We lost all 4 starters from a great DL in 2012.

That 2012 squad was ranked
9th in long rushing plays given up
9th in rush defense.
16th in sacks
19th in TFL

Our only struggle was last year, but it could have been a strength this year had we not lost even more. Freak had underperformed, but Ego played decent last year. Rasco played on a bad shoulder and another one surgically repaired. Allen played mediocre and Hunter played decent. We then lose three of Freak and Ego and Allen. When you lose 8 DL in two years, you should obviously see some big problems ahead.

Shut the hell up about shite you and The Mick don't understand.

1. I've seen plenty of people say Brick Haley isn't doing a good job

2. Most folks are more forgiving of a guy who is having to start 3 new guys out of 4 and has had to deal with 5 early NFL departures the past 2 years alone amongst only 4 positions

People are going to be less forgiving of an OL coach who inherits 4 out of 5 starters who as a unit were good the year before (with some lapses). It's too early to judge Grimes fully but he has been disappointing thus far.

No doubt we have lost lots early on DL. But whether we've list 1 or 10 it's what we have in hand is what concerns. Our roster is filled w/ 4* talent who've been here at least a yr who can't even find the field. Are they all just slow learners? Overrated?

Moreover, our DL hasn't been able to get pressure by themselves consistently. This was so even in '12.

IMO, Haley is underachieving as a pos coach.

Dlineman have to do much more than "not be blown out of position"

You could have the 92 cowboys oline and they couldn't block 10 man fronts

We're not seeing 10 man fronts. We're not even seeing eight man fronts most of the time. Teams are stopping us with seven guys against a TE and two RBs. The safety is usually rushing toward the box after the snap, so you could call it eight.

what?
In 2010 they got ego and jordan allen
In 2011 they got freak and rasco
2013 they got lacouture, gilmore and herron and last year valentine and godchaux

All of those guys were top 15 or so at their positions coming out of high school and were recruited by everyone in the country. Everyone who follow recruiting were excited to get them and would have melted had we not landed them.

Some guys take longer to get going and some just don't live it up to it. Obviously i left out a few names because i was focusing on the highest rated but to say the coached didn't recruit well is stupid.

Look i agree, but did you read my posts? We had 5 linemen go to the Nfl from the 09 class, Weve had 3 since then. So somewhere we didnt build the required depth, because no one in the 09 class would be eligible this year unless they got a 6th year. So whether these guys left early or not has nothing to do with this season.

These guys were highly rated, so we are now seeing less guys pan out. It's evaluating AND coaching. Evaluating falls under recruiting. you know we signed one dlineman in 2012? Hunter. the coaches shoul dhave had a good idea of who wanted to leave early considering thats one of their recruiting pitches. im just saying they didnt plan well enough. Allen would not be eligible, ego would be a rs sr and freak a sr this year.

O line experienced.

What's more, how many SEC-elite o-lines have we had in the last 10 years? Maybe 1 or 2? Even Arky's had more than that.
