6.4 million total contract value.

Still not a bad pay day.

Still worth leaving school early by a mile. Any junior in college would leave school early to take a temporary job making that.

Word is he hired his buddy as his agent and it fricked him. He had zero interviews with teams. Zero teams asked to come see him workout, etc. Just terrible exposure, wonder if was the same guy Guice had?lol

Hopefully he gets a better one when it’s time for his first real contract

He’s still getting a payday and will be able to prove himself. I’ll never fault a guy that feels as he has to declare. Whether it money, family, whatever...this is their one bite at the apple.

I especially don’t fault them if they are drafted in the top 100 picks. Greedy was told by everyone that he was a first rounder when he declared.
Most analyst expected that. OK, well he slid to the top of the second round. shite happens but he still made the right call.

Well he’d pay about 3% to his agent and 41% in state and fed taxes

So about 1.5 million is what he’d have left

If he dont get better advice he will be broke before this contract is up. Looks like his wagon of followers is full. Hope he does well and earns a major second contract like PP and TM.

It would be great to see him snatch 2-3 picks early in the season to make a statement to those that passed him up.

So, after a modest $250k home, he’s getting an after tax lump sum instead of working for 20 years at a $100k salary.

I wouldn't really look at it this way. He needs a very good financial advisor at this point.

If he has a great rookie year and gets endorsements then he can ball out, but I think he very much so is kind of in the same mindset as his junior year now... keep his body healthy and try to earn a good second contract

I’m no finance major, tell me how much not playing in the bowl game and not doing interviews and workouts cost the young man?

Maybe as much as he’s making now?

tortoise and the hare my friend, he'll end up with maybe a third of that before, his leeches -er friends, family, col, and having to show that he's "living the NFL life" eats that right up, the kid needs to make his focus learning his craft, picking better advisers, and doing everything he can to be a marketable commodity when free agency time comes, good thing is, with the Browns he'll have ample opportunity to work on his tackling skills

Zero.

Being a pure cover corner hurt him. There was zero need for him to interview. There was no drama. And from a football iq a cover guy is just about the easiest position to learn in football
