1993 Ole Miss - A 3-5 and already counted out LSU squad played host, on a painfully cold night, to Ole Miss - a team already going bowling. The Tigers were heavy underdogs and the Rebel option attack was striking early, but so did the Tigers. Jay Johnson, one of Hallman's "Fab 5", rushed for over 120 yards. Brett Bech and Scott Ray, along with Chad Loup, gave the Tigers a balanced offense and at times, shredded the Rebel D. Johnson, however, scored the go ahead TD late in the 4th. Ole Miss moved the ball down the field and set up for a GW FG with no time left...wide left. The Tigers won what seemed like a meaningless game...until the next week when pigs most certainly flew

Coldest game I've ever been to.
Although the Tigers lost, the '94 season opener against A&M was a good one. LSU had the Aggies on the ropes until Leland McElroy broke a long touchdown run late in the game to win it 18-13.

Of games I attended...

1971 Notre Dame...our D held the Irish out on 4 straight plays from the 1.

1972 Ole Miss...Bert Jones to Brad Davis...says it all!

I know there are more but those are the two that come to mind first.

1997 florida since the noise level and excitement was deafening. When the announcement was made that usc lost, it went even louder.

1972 Ole Miss was something to see.....

the 1979 game against USC was even better (if we would have won---i think it would have been an entirely different season)

1997 Florida
2001 Auburn
2003 Georgia
2005 Tennessee( and it is also my worst experience in Tiger Stadium. The emotions that filled the stadium was awesome, having to go home to nothing with a lose was not very good.)
2007 Florida
2008 Bama(Classic because of the crowd and emotions, lose was hard to take.

i can't believe you don't have the most famous game ever played in tiger stadium.

c'mon man.

I listed what I consider ther greatest games I attended. From the mid-80s on I lived out of state and frequently out of the country. I've missed most (if not all) of the more recent great games.

Va Tech 2007.
May be the best game an LSU team played in TS.
Crowd was deafening. Only time I have ever seen a coach have to call consecutive time outs due to crowd noise. After Blacksburg 2002 it was awesome.

This.

1979 USC 17 LSU 12. Not anything close to this in my opinion.

Any list without florida 07 is a failure.

I was living in Yemen at the time of that game so it's not on the list of great games I've attended.

1997 Fla...Came in town with a friend that only liked pro ball and so we booked a trip to the Saints-Falcons game on Sunday. I wasn't sure we'd win, but i figured What the heck, lets make it a football weekend! Scalped tickets and ended up in the fla section. The florida fans were so quiet. Rent a cops on the field huddling while the PA asked fans to stay off the field...i definitely ran on with many others to watch the posts come down. Got an autographed SI issue with K Faulk on the cover because of this one.

2000 Alabama- Broke that awful street, and ran on the field and watched the posts come down.

2001 Auburn- First SECC birth and got kicked out of a bar.

2007 VaTech- I have a tough time relaying what TS is like for saturday nights to people that havn't been. Some friends came with us from the Maryland and NewYork area for this and were completely in awe and won't stop asking me to take them again.

1. 2007: LSU 48 Virginia Tech 7- from the first whistle, LSU was leaps and bounds ahead of Va Tech. probably one of the best beatdowns in Tiger Stadium history.

2. 2004: LSU 26 Alabama 10- my first LSU game. Webster's famous no call on pass inteference turned the game around when Bama was up 10-6 in the 3rd.

3. 2008 LSU 21 Alabama 27 OT: my first game in the LSU student section. I cried after JPW punched it in.. I've never wanted to win a game more than that one.

Those two, plus 82 vs F.S.U. and 97 vs Florida.

Looking for this one. I was there. Still brings a smile to my face. Totally awesome.

But the 2007 season produced some good ones too.

I didn't have the privilege of seeing the other great LSU games.

eta - the goal line stand was what made this game great.
