re: Do you think you could fly a plane with no formal training? A helicopter? - AlaskanLSUfan
I have a private pilot’s license and grew up around aviation. The concept of fixed wing is being able to understand that power (or throttle) and pitch contribute to flying the aircraft. If you understand balancing those then flying is a piece of cake and you should have plenty of time to react if so...

Reinstall router with new modem - AlaskanLSUfan
Hello all, So my modem crapped out Sunday (just in time for GoT) and I purchased a new one Monday and installed and got it up and running. I have a fairly new Netgear 6400 router that was working fine with the previous modem, but for some reason doesn't broadcast the signal with the new modem. Th...

re: OT engineers: how early did you start studying for the PE? - AlaskanLSUfan
I took it in Oct 2016 (didn't pass) and April 2017. I did just testmasters for the October exam and did a bunch of practice tests for the April version and that made the difference. I'd suggest doing testmasters and practice tests at least 2-3 months out with a study schedule set for the various to...

re: Recommendation on the best place to get your pilots license in BR? - AlaskanLSUfan
I finished up at Flight Academy of New Orleans. I would recommend doing Part 141 training if you didn't grow up around aviation (I did). It's pretty structured and is probably best for private pilots training. Are you looking for just a private license or instrument/commercial? ...
