This is just untrue. It's pretty clever to fit those sets of words in there and on beat. It is definitely profane. But just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't somewhat creative. And It's pretty popular virally on the internet. Tigerdroppings darling (and best part about ESPN) SVP loves the chant. This site suddenly got infested with a bunch of sensitive posters. Bizarre.

Pretty arrogant seeing as without the students LSU and LSU football doesn't exist.

Ok, sure.

The student's tuition is what's paying for the University.

Wasn't it this board, that pointed out, over and over and over that the athletic department doesn't use academic money so buyouts shouldn't matter etc. So you're correct. The students money pays for academics.

These students are given a bunch of handouts for discounted tickets.

I bet you're a student. So you know how much a student ticket is. Compare that price to every other top 25 teams student ticket price and you would be shocked. So yes, the students are absolutely getting handout, discounted tickets.

Students' tuition barely (if at all) covers the cost of the LSU's administrative costs and teacher salaries.

LSU Football is there because of TAF donors and the forced donations to actually buy the tickets. If this didn't exist, we'd be like Nicholls State.

Last I heard, student tickets were $12 per game. Less than $100 for 7 games.

Profanity = lack of intelligence. Simple as that. End of story.

We should always respect the opposing team and their fans. We should refrain from vulgarities and obscene gestures directed at the opposing team and fans. I would hope our fans would treat all our visitors the way we would like to be treated if we were in their stadium.

I'm always happy to hear opposing team fans tell us on TD how much they enjoyed their visit to Tiger Stadium and how our fans treated them with respect. Especially noteworthy is the way our LSU tailgaiting fans are quick to invite visitors to enjoy the wonderful and appetizing dishes prepared by our excellent cooks.

LSU and Baton Rouge has so much to offer our visitors.

I haven't seen that. Link?

I'll bet in 15 minutes of students submitting alternate words, we could have 100s of funnier, more clever options.

What seems bizarre is pretending that screaming out shite about sucking dicks isn't at least questionable for a supposedly family-friendly event.

Kids have nothing to do with it.

Do you like being a person who cusses continually?

We could hire Les Miles to teach the students how to catch the clap.

I am no longer a student. I have season tickets in multiple sports.

I have also previously investigates student tickets at other similar universities such as Texas, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, etc... They are obscene. LSU should not follow that path. I believe I saw Miami and Texas student tickets in the thousands of dollars. Alabama and LSU to me are in a great range; about 5-12 per ticket so it isn't un-affordable but gives you an incentive to use them as well as knowing you have access to the game. Free seating aka "no tickets" for a big game would be a nightmare logistically and a little stressful. Also you have no real financial obligation to go. LSU does student tickets right.

Trying to censor people never works out. It will have the opposite effect. Good luck.

I'd even leave the 'family friendly part out. My kids are plenty old enough for me not to worry about them hearing this, and when the youngest one was in an age range that it was not a great thing I did the whole "I can't make out the cheer" etc that is recommended by the pro STTDB side here. No one was irreparably harmed by it. I get all that.

But it is just stupid that anyone tries to justify this as an organized cheer. It is qualitatively different than the drunk a-hole who spews F bombs constantly.

To the 'free speech' STTDB people:
Is it OK at a high school game? Why or why not?
In a movie theater? Why or why not?
What would happen if you yelled it in a public park?

As an organic, one time thing? It's hilarious - I admit.
As an organized repeated cheer? Not so much, and there simply isn't any real way to justify it.

Just admit, y'all like to say it because it makes you feel like a big shot. Quit trying to justify it like it is actually acceptable.
