Have him serve a suspension for breaking curfew.
I think the current suspension is enough for all of JJ's infractions.
Your opinion smacks of double jeopardy. Hope you never serve on a jury.

WELCOME BACK JJ (AND JOHNS). TAKE A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO BET MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY PREPARED TO PLAY. JJ WILL GET THE MAJORITY OF THE SNAPS IN THE FLORIDA GAME.
WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a fkn idiot, and must be racially motivated. If LSU is 5-0, with three wins over top 25 teams.....no fkn way JJ should see the field except maybe in situational type scenarios.....you are a moron if you think benching a guy who has led lsu to a hot start and is 5-0. But then again, I do consider the educational level and mentality of people like you.

my opinion is that les will handle this the right way, maybe not the rant way (thank god for that) but the right way.
This is JMO but i think JJ could serve the team pretty well the rest of the season and could really benefit us. JL has absolutely earned his role as the starter but i would not mind having JJ as insurance if he went down or even in a Flynn/Perriloux type mix from 2007.
We're gonna play different teams with different styles of D so having a style QB on the team that can provide a different look isn't a bad thing.

I think Lee is a better qb than Jefferson.
Thats the reason I am more of cheerleader for 12 than 9.
Its really not that difficult of a fricking concept to grasp.

because we have witnessed two straight years of triple digit passing rankings and a horrible offense. Some of you forget the 8 straight games of pathetic offense led by JJ last year....I see some jumping all over the ole miss and texas a&m games....and just forgetting the pathetic games........it amazes me. I wonder how much of this runs on racial boundaries...

If he's going on eye witnesses that were drinking I think he should get thrown out of office.
Disregarding all witnesses who were drinking would be great for society. Carte blanche to murder as long as it's at an event where everyone who is watching is drunk.
Let me ask you this, if a guy came into a bar and a man shot the place up and the only eyewitnesses had been drinking, should they not testify? Obviously, they won't have the credibility of a sober individual, but they still saw the event and, as such, should testify

Like he has always allowed a starting qb the opportunity after losing the starting spot due to injury?
Oh, wait...
What does this mean? Jamarcus got hurt and had to sit out the Peach Bowl in 05. He was the starter in 06. Flynn was hurt and had to sit out the Mid. Tenn. game and the SEC championship. He still started when healthy. JJ was hurt and missed the La Tech game in 09. He came back and was the starter.
I know it is hard for some people to believe, but the coaches actually think JJ is better than Lee.

JJ returns and his first bad play (probably missed handoff) he makes that "it wasn't me whiney 4 year old bad kidd face" and gets booed out of Tiger Stadium...
:yack:

And some people still want JJ to start no matter what.
I don't want JJ to be the starting QB at LSU ever again.

Third string QB--needs to earn his way back to playing time--maybe scout team.

Understandably so that people find it hard to believe.

The Shady case is far from being over even if a grand jury is convened on Wednesday. What if Lowery and his friends decide to sue LSU for being negligent in failure to supervise the players during a curfew, and thus causing physical harm to them. It could drag on and on, causing too much distractions for the team to concentrate on playing, much less on JJ's ability to stay focus on playing. So the possibility of JJ to rejoin the team at any time soon is pretty much slim until all the legal problems are settled.

It's possible, but they didn't think different 3 weeks ago. Even after the bar fight JJ was getting 1st team snaps.

It is apparent that most are strong Lee supporters, and for the record I'm too? But its also apparent that the young man has been overly punished and ROBED of his work in the of off season where he outperformed all others.
I'm sure our coaching staff is unworthy of making the decision right?!
If the kid can do what he did on the cotton bowl and other games where we won and Payton Manning wrote that he's matured as a QB just two months ago, I want him to play. I just changed my opinion on allowing Lee to start based on the hatred of some in here. And i like Lee. I'm going to bed assamed of all of us!

Stupidity comes back to the board with a vengeance with this announcement.
Suspend JJ for violating curfew??? Are you kidding. The entire team including JJ have already been punished for that. Why would you go back and repunish JJ if the case is dropped?
Sue LSU for negligence. Hello these are college kids and the coaches can not force the kids from going out after curfew. That was a team rule and LSU has no way of forcing any LSU player to comply legally.

if they were close JJ would get the nod as the incumbent, there are numerous examples of one QB starting the first couple of games, struggles a bit, the back-up comes in and doesn't relinquish the job. And I have said all along that Lee should have to win the position back on the field, not in practice, as is the case with most backups. So it's clearly feasible that this scenario will have changed the pecking order.
As far as the first team snaps go, I think that was mostly a front by Miles to protect JJ. Randle stated after that practice that Lee was running with the 1's.

I don't see how a civil suit would cause near the distraction that the criminal case would cause. That would be in the hands of the lawyers. The players could give a deposition one day, and that would be the end of it as far as this football season was concerned.
