They will both have chances like all the QBs in the training camp. We should focus on the Fall and let this go.

My guess is hes a potential back up for a running QB. Meanwhile Geaux Mett!
For those that played offense, here's the summary - OC calls a one receiver pass play while in our own 5 yd line - WK defense pulls a zone front, we take 3 seconds to pass, and we face a busted block.

Don't always blame our QBs for this - always count
4 Mississippi seconds as a standard, and give the QB an out.

If I'm not mistaken, our coaches took blame for this play call on the Monday morning show after.

BTW -
That's how Georgia worked us the 1st half with their D - Georgia played zone and we played man to man block. They ate our lunch on the first - Jefferson did make a few bad throws too- but after the half we adjusted and played zone block and they played zone block which allowed us to make passing and running plays.

In football, I don't care if its Drew Brees or Tim Tibow, time of protection and timing of routes is key. When you get a chance, look how much protection Cam Newton gets these days versus last year at Auburn - then you can see why his passing numbers are great this year.

No worries, I don't think we call this WK play again this year, specially against BAMA.

BAMA WAS RECRUITING JJ???

LSU was only major D1 program that offered him.

You need to go back and see his scouting report from his HS senior year. It wasn't until he was seen at a Bama game with recruits that we looked at him. He was the starting QB for a 5A state championship team that was undefeated - so you say that we were the only school '''' Not So"'''' we don't recruit players that are not wanted by other schools.
I was not happy with the first quarter play by either the offense or the defence - but I'll say that Jefferson played well in the 2nd quarter and helped us secure the win. We should look at the whole game not just six snaps. By the way he's playing I think I,m happy we have him on our team and not Bama who was recruiting him back in 2008.
Looks like we will be playing them again! :geauxtigers:
After the Ok and Oregon loss - I've been hearing all my Bama friends by text and facebook all weekend long saying that they're in for New Orleans with joy!

Have you looked at USA Today this morning - we're #1 and the picture on the front page shows Richardson. That's just wrong.
It's getting annoying!!!

We still need to beat two more ranked teams to secure the trip and we get no love- with that said, I'm tired of us being in the BAMA shadow - We play them again, we beat them - then there will be no excuses.

Apples to Apples - ratings are the only way we can measure our players like it or not, until someone else comes up with another system, this is it. Awesome post!

by the way in comparison the two famous QBs this year

Andrew Luck's rating 169
Darron Thomas's rating 160

I have one word for all of us ---- "Defense" --- Its not Lee or Jefferson that made this season.

our D scored points in almost every-game and gave us the ball back at half field almost every time.

No reason to have a love affair with either Lee or Jefferson.

Don't marry one versus the other, marry the team. :geauxtigers:
The question i find myself asking is do i really believe now that jefferson would of not played well enough to win our first 8 games if Lee was out. As a Tiger fan after watching the game on saturday I think that its wrong to give Lee the credit for the win since he was the listed starter.

Lee has great character - and no one can take that from him. To eat crow! now I can't complain about why Miles chose JJ as a starter from summer on before all the bar stuff.

An ovation, maybe not, but jefferson deserves to start to get credit for his play.
I think both QBs will be needed. I was surprised that Les ran the Power I with Jefferson on Saturday, and the spread. But there again traditionally the power I is more of an option play optimizer.

I think its a film setup for the defensive cords in BAMA.

Also the quick release can be shutdown by BAMA pretty quick too - looking at the, Penn, Florida and Arkansas game BAMA was able to penetrate the O line and man-up on the receivers for no gains.

If anyone watched the Texas Tech game Saturday, I would love to see us do some of their plays, but again, we are traditional power teams - BAMA and LSU. Something will have to give, and I think BAMA's O will since they dont have as many weapons to play with.

Auburn will put 8 men in the box when JJ is in because they know he can't pass effectively.

I like Lee too, but this is the exact opposite that happened last week with Lee in as QB. Vols dared us to throw and stacked. Our O's 1st half was not as effective with moving the ball and was helped by Montgomery - go watch.

Spread was a better scheme for that game. We will have to wait and see. One thing is for sure, we will be running both sets at times. But this TM thing is nuts!!!
I think we should all be happy that we have two senior QBs and leave it at that.

Let go of the last year scenario since its not last year, and look at how both QBs are more complete.

Watch the TN game again and what we can see is that when one formation (the I) "strategy" doesn't work as well as we like, we can quickly switch to another (O spread). I view the switch at half-time as a way that Miles and the coaches wanted to eat more clock, so they spread the O for more running lanes.

This is not last year, i think we should look at it like our running back situation where we have multiple threats.

Cant wait to :spank: AUBURN!

They think their Defense is as good as ours, we will see!

who cares about fricing total yards if the offense is performing at that level scoring 38 a game....good god.

1st I'm Not a college kid man - I was a player, but that was long ago.

you will care if we just happen to god forbid lose one game in the next few and have a bunch of un-defeats in front of us for the BCS - because it will be a factor my man!
for this week, all I care about is ---- let's get off the 90th offensive ranking in the NCAA for goodness sake-

Whatever works to produce offensive points and rack up more yards and have less 3 downs and out -- lets do it.

I would like to see us below a ranking of 30 by seasons end. :geauxtigers:
Yes it does, and I haven't seen anyone run like that on Florida all year so far.
I still think we need both of QBs. Lee has a good heart and knows when the other player can do better. So does the team, so that's Lee's strength right now. I will say, man did that option look good last Saturday - It was fun to watch the two or three plays. last year i was dying for Les to kill it as a standard play. But looking at how fast we got the 1st downs - it was impressive.

:geauxtigers:

are we after Jeremy Logging?

Why? we are running more of a standard Off. I just read this. Apparently we know now where Les went after the MS game. To see him play. :geauxtigers:

Bama's favorite thing to do is pressure and drop back into a soft zone, adjusting the zones to the routes.

Very precise, and thats why we need a mobile quarterback with speed in this situation. Name will not play the soft zone as much. I guess you coached before!
Look at this statement - LINK

Yes we are stronger! :geauxtigers:

Less penalties mostly.

And right now they have the #2 Def and the # 3 or 2 Off in all the SEC...

We are at #7 Off, and #1 Def.

We got our work ahead of us, but we will kick that BAMA in the BUTT...
