Is it fair to pull lee for JJ? I mean JL was the starter before JJ.
Think about it. Is it fair?
Also one thing I have noticed about our offense that I have not seen in forever, is how well they are executing. I mean lee can run the clock down to 2 seconds on purpose.
I am not really advocating either one, but how is that fair to lee? It's not JJ's team.

Fairness has nothing to do with it, you play the guy who gives you the best chance to win. But this will be a significant challenge for Miles, nor from a fan standpoint, but managing the dynamics within the team. The players seem to have a great relationship with Lee, but many are also wearing a #9 on their arm. And as someone mentioned, I'm a little worried about how Jefferson handles his return.

Others were talking/mentioning that this could get pleaded down ... would Les keep JJ on the team if that's the case? Wasn't some other guy let go due to some type of charges relatively recently?

I always hope there are no injuries to the Tigers, but they do happen, It would be good to have another couple of QB's who know the system and schemes and ready to step in...JMHO

I keep hearing this-can we get a count? I mean, we had a poster dissect every play JL made against the Ducks, from the time he ran out of the tunnel to the postgame handshakes, so someone should be able to tell me how many are wearing a #9, since so many keep touting this "proof" that the team wants JJ back. The only advantage he would bring is that the grass could get really green between the hashmarks again, but that is offset by the number of divots that would have to be replaced at the feet of his intended receivers.
How can anyone have watched the 3 games this season that watched us stumble and fumble to a triple digit offensive rank last year and really think he should be inserted back in the lineup? I hope those that would prefer last year to this don't have random drug testing at work...

Now what should Les do with JJ when he returns?
He rides the bench until Lee loses.

what if he throws for 150-200 yrds 2 tds and no pics and completes 70% of his throws?
Im confused.

We were ranked 86th last year. We are ranked 85th this year. Against BCS schools we averaged 355 ypg last year. This year we are averaging 317. Is the offense really that improved?

IDK.. when you are watching it what does your eyes tell you.
Not to mention every fricking person that has a pulse that is around you watching.

Those are total offense rankings correct? What do we look like in passing efficiency, etc?

the word "many" was probably mis-used. I don't know the count, how about "several"? Although it's obvious that Lee has good chemistry with the team, but it will be a challenge.

If we are greatly improved than it would be reflected in the stats wouldn't it?

I certainly havn't read this entire 20 plus page thread so I apologize if this has already been posted but I recently served as foreman of a grand jury in North Carolina and the GJ has 2 questions to ask as to whether they indict or not. 1. Was their probably a crime committed? 2. Was the charge probably involved? Thats it. If they can answer yes to both they pass True Bill of indictment. Don't be surprised for GJ to indict under those circumstances. Doesn't mean anything about ability of DA to convict but that would be up to Jury in trial court. Don't read too much into GJ ruling on Wednesday if they indict. If they don't then obviously we know the legal status of JJ & JJ.
Hope justice is served, whatever that is in this case.

You people do realize it is possible to do both huh?
I think Lee is a better qb than Jefferson.
Thats the reason I am more of cheerleader for 12 than 9.
Its really not that difficult of a fricking concept to grasp.
No it is not. When you cheer for the team, it doesn't matter who is playing a position on the team. You are cheering for the team as whole. When you cheer for a particular player over another, you are putting that player above the team. You cannot say you are cheering for a particular player and the team at the same time. Either you are cheering for the player or the team. It's clear to me that your loyalty lies with Lee and not the Tigers.

JL has played damn good football and at the end of the day that's what it's about. not "maybes" or "could be's" but football. it would be 1,000 times more unfair to bench JL after how well he's played just because headed into the season JJ was the starter.
i firmly believe there is a role for JJ on the 2011 LSU championship team but it's not to be handed the starting position after the way JL has performed through these three games. JJ could be a great change of pace or alternate look QB that we've had before with RP and Flynn in 2007.
Les will make the right call. He's a good head coach; he won't frick this up.
