I disagree. Bama wins out and they go to the Final 4. They didn’t need us ranked to do hat.

Now that last part I couldn’t agree with more but fair enough

I do, it’s the more subjective and things like winning your conference and division should matter.

And, loathe as I am as a Braves fan to say it, congrats to the ‘Stros for winning the Series tonight. How’d you balance watching the games?

Sports bar, they had CFB on a couple of side TVs. It was an epic 20 minute or so stretch

you tards need to think thru your conspiracies

There is no conspiracy, its based on watching how Bama is constantly propped up and given passes over other more worthy teams over the years...

The only way Bama was going to the playoff was if they won out. At 12-1 SEC Champ

If you have 4 teams undefeated at the end of the season for EXAMPLE: Michigan, Clemson, TCU and USC and Bama is sitting there at 12-1 you don't think that CFP committee would frick over TCU and put Bama in and use the excuse "they have the better resume"

Mind you this has happened before...so there is no conspiracy, its based off history...

Do you honestly think if Bama had won out and won the SEC they would have been left out if LSU was ranked 16 (which is what we were in the AP, this week?

Already has a loss. There was no scenario where you get 4 undefeated teams with Bama winning the SEC, proving you didn’t think it thru think it

And do you think if LSU #16 in week 10 that wouldn’t be the case?

Clemp-sun is terrible. DJ Ugalialaialaielela is garbage.

It’s UGA and tOSU then everyone else right now

We win out we are in. SEC champ cannot be logically excluded

There's no reason LSU should've been #10 and you know that.

They were doing it for Alabama's strength of schedule.

They didn't anticipate Alabama would lose.

Its all TV...and now Alabama can drop 3 spots instead of the usual 7-8.

This is a ridiculous argument. Did it ever occur to you that maybe Alabama is just not that good? I’ve watched every Alabama game this season with some co-workers from Alabama (we’re all based in Nevada working on the Laxalt campaign). Alabama has been really shaky all season long. They’re like a top 20 team in reality, not top 6 like they were ranked. Thus, it’s not that impressive that LSU beat them at home in OT by 1 point. It doesn’t say much about LSU. These Alabama guys I work with have also been watching a lot of UCLA and Pac-12 games for the first time in their life because of me and they are absolutely shocked how good the top half of the conference is. They think there’s no question UCLA is hands down better than both Alabama and LSU. You SEC people need to diversify your range of football.

Don't lose the forest from the trees. This is still about building a dynasty. Doing that is a marathon and not just one race.

Last night showed all visiting recruits a peek of what they can be a part of for the future. It should have also shown those potentially contemplating leaving after this season the value of staying, winning a National Championship in dominating form their senior year and dramatically enhancing their NFL draft stock. This is where NIL can help stop the bleeding of key components from an early exit.

The moved LSU up to 10 to boost Bama's resume

Nope. If Bama had won out including the SEC championship, it would not have mattered if we were ranked at all. Do you disagree when that?

They put us at 10 because we were playing better than any team they ranked behind us and, if you are thinking that the committee is thinking ahead, by having us at 10, it is much easier to justify moving us up to striking distance of the Top 4 if we won last night. If we had been 15 or higher, it would be challenging to jump is up to 6 or 7.

The teams immediately behind LSU with 1 lose were 7-1 Ole Miss who we beat and has zero impressive wins and 6-1 UCLA who had 1 good win over Utah and a terrible OOC schedule. Utah KState and Penn St were 2 loss teams ahead of LSU in the AP largely because they were ranked higher to begin with.

Now tell me what of those teams it’s is outrageous they were ranked behind LSU? Maybe UCLA. Next explain why beating #16 would be so damaging the to Alabama’s SOS

They won’t have to after Clemson lost if LSU wins out and everything stays the same for Ohio State and TCU the rankings will be

1)Ohio State
2)TCU
3)LSU
4)Georgia

At end of year an Tenn will just have to be pissed

You can argue that they did it for TV ratings, but they sure did look smart slotting LSU at 10 when the AP and Coaches had them at 15 and 17 last week.

LSU may be the most interesting test case to date of how the CFP decision-making works. In this case, they clearly did better than the AP/Coaches voters playing by the “traditional rules” of the Top 25.

Guessing the committee will slot them at 6 now. Even with 2 losses, there is no doubt that LSU deserves a playoff spot if they win out.
I think what we witness with the CFP Cmte is best explained by the fact that they use a "clean slate" philosophy every week.

Where the CP/AP require them to have a reason to move somebody above you down. They have a starting point, an arbitrary one, that can produce tailwinds, or headwinds.

What you people don’t realize is they could have had LSU ranked 140 Bama was in if the won out period!! They Ranked LSU based on how well the team was improving and got it right!
