Good story by Jacques Doucet. I had no idea what he went through personally last year and puts his subpar stats into perspective. Also seems like a great kid from a great family.

It's really hard not to like the kid.

Thanks for posting. Seems to be a very well raised kid. Props to his family for raising him well. I also heard an interview with his mother before the season started. I immediately became a fan of his after hearing her speak.

I heard that same interview with his mom. When she could have acted salty with the way his teammates reacted to his transfer, she was extremely respectful while still supporting her kid. I became a fan of the family as well.

Yes I did not know this side of his personality. I had picked up on something in his behavior. I do think this effected him. I think it still does. I also think this is a part of him that will make him stronger in the long run.

Good story, but which a-hole is downvoting every post in this thread?

Tiger fans need to get behind Jayden, he’s our QB

Still tryijg to figure out where all the vitriol in Arizona’s locker room came from.

Herm has a way of taking dawgs and making them strays.

Most fans have no clue what these kids are going through at times. I hope this story spreads among the fanbase especially those "bashing" this kid when all he is trying to do is help LSU win. I hope JD proves all the naysayers wrong in a big way.

I have watched him react to his teammates; talking with them , encouraging them. I think he is a good leader and I see why ; his parents and family have raised him the right way. Beaux Jayden!

It’s not that hard to figure out they knew they were losing a leader and good player and would suck without him… bitter b’s!!!

The person who down voted either hit the wrong button or is a real jerk

all of this, and his ASU teammates where that shitey to him? i guess it shows just how bad of a situation it was out there. i hope he continues to crush it, gets drafted, and puts every single one of those d-bags in their place.

People shouldn't be able to hide behind downvotes. If you're excessively negative and mentally insipid, you should at least own it.

That is now considered an “article”? There’s nothing to the story. Sorry his grandparents died, but says nothing about his family, their values anything. I guess I just don’t get it.

The little triangle pointing right is a play button. And I think it is a story, not an article

When one uses quotes it means one is quoting someone. Nowhere in the OP is the word "article."

Did not know any of this and the kid is a survivor. Very rooted in family and faith. Solid young man representing the tigers.
