The fans will inevitably turn on him and be unhappy but they're perpetually angry down there. That comes with the territory. Kelly took on this challenge because it's a better gig than Notre Dame. He's not backing down from a tougher path to the playoff because just getting there isn't the goal.

I think we were all happy starting Nov. 9, 2019 and ending around Jan. 16, 2020, when both Brady and Aranda announced they were leaving.
