Youth and attrition certainly are a problem however to say it's the only problem and the coaches are above reproach is naiveity or ignorance.

People this is our team. Where have some of you been the last two years when LSU was losing player after player who wanted to go enter the NFL Draft?

why can't Les find a QB for LSU? Only reason Mett was here was because UGA kicked him off the team. QB play cost us the title in 2011, and it's one of the reasons this season is so bad.

LSU should be overloading classes with the expectation that kids will leave in droves every year after their third year out of high school.

After sending record numbers of players to the NFL over the past three seasons, player development is the most neglected aspect of LSU football under Miles?

Love it STRIPES. I recall 10 years ago not many people had faith in John Brady, but real Tiger fans like you and me knew that Brady would take LSU to a Final Four, didn't we?

LSU lost a QB, a RB,and two WRs off the offense last season to the NFL
Good Lord. It's as if LSU is the only team in NCAA history to lose players to the NFL. This excuse is worn out. Whatever happened to the world's greatest recruiter packing the pipeline with talent ready to fill the voids? It still doesn't account for the total implosion and lethargic performance of the program this year. Rest assured this year's excuses will be replaced by another set of excuses next year. The more things change, the more they remain the same. Same church - different pew. Queue the desperate 10 win defenders.

Why is Tennessee able to compete? They play more true freshmen than we do...better coaching? scheme? what?

It would be a lot easier to accept the young and inexperienced excuse if the team at least looked competitive while on the field. In two SEC games they have looked terrible. Losing is one thing but losing this bad is another. You can't simply blame youth.

So your okay with a team that gets totally dominated and doesn't look prepared to play? I am okay with losing to top 5 teams but to look like a JV football team is not okay. Louisiana Tech put up a better fight that we did against Auburn.

Hey bro,

I'm done melting, and agree that we should can any personal attacks or unrealistic calls for Miles to be fired. But you guys starting thread after thread making excuses, insulting other fans, and pretending that all is well isn't going to change the fact that this is the worst team fielded by the school in 15 years.

If you didn't expect that to register with the fanbase, I don't know what to tell you.

While I believe miles to be an average coach, I suspect youth is about 70% of the problem this year. If there is no significant improvement next year Miles will have to go.

Miles' contract is structured to allow him to retire here is he so chooses. We're going to have to work at an overhaul below the HC level. Chavis needs to go. I'm not sold on Cam as the great offensive mind that he's been billed at (Crowton was shite-hot in 2007). Several position coaches (esp O-line) need to be sent packing.

Why is it that the idea of Miles doing the right thing (voluntarily move on) never enters the conversation?

He's human. Not many people would walk away from $20M or so. And it's not simply greed. I'm sure he believes that he can right the ship if given enough time and an opportunity to shake up his staff a bit.

He has a point. It looked like we were headed down in 2008, but he built us back up by the end of 2010. Maybe he can do it again.

The Brady analogy was a rib at STRIPES.

No straws needed when defending Miles. Just the numbers.
