Good lord people....look at players we lost

LSU lost a QB, a RB,and two WRs off the offense last season to the NFL and we replaced each with a true freshman at each position. Then we ask these kids who are barely out of high school to go play 2 Top 10 teams back to back in MSU and Auburn.
On defense you have a Soph at one Tackle and a true freshman at the other tackle spot. Then we have another LB (Beckwith) who is a Soph with almost no experience in the middle.
People this is our team. Where have some of you been the last two years when LSU was losing player after player who wanted to go enter the NFL Draft?
It has taken a huge toll on LSUs depth at key positions and whether you want to blame coaches or whoever the fact is LSU has had a huge attrion of upperclassmen early to the NFL.
This is the same staff on offense which turned out an LSU offense last season which was the #2 most productive LSU offense in LSU history. Now the coaches are supposedly idiots.
LSU is having to rebuild and has talent coming in but it takes time to develop.
LSU will return to its' glory when these kids mature and they rebuild the depth on the team.
It will happen and maybe as soon as next season but this seaon LSU is going to get its' nose bloodied and thats just the way it is. It's going to take patience and blaming the coaching staff is not the answer.

Love it STRIPES. I recall 10 years ago not many people had faith in John Brady, but real Tiger fans like you and me knew that Brady would take LSU to a Final Four, didn't we?

Nothing to do with Brady. The situation is vastly different.
I don't care who the football coach at LSU is this team is still very young and playing in the toughest division in college football. There is no substitute for depth and experience my friend.

This means nothing to the majority of LSU fans... It's like trying to tell Apple sheep that Android is a better alternative. Their brains cannot process this information

Why did we have to replace them with freshmen?
Where are the 19-21 year olds ready and waiting for their turn?
How does that explain why we are so bad on defense? Oh yeah...

Recruiting and coaching fails explain it. The players we have are not that good.
And spare us this "2 top 10 teams" stuff. A big part of the reason they are ranked so highly is that they beat the pants off of us.

Have you watched the games this year? Getting production out of Mett, Landry, and OBJ isn't proof that the coaches are great.
quote:you can blame who you want, but the rest of the country knows it's Les's fault we are no longer at the top of the SEC and haven't been in a long time outside of one fluke season that ended with an historic beatdown in New Orleans.
It's going to take patience and blaming the coaching staff is not the answer.

Your statement doesn't address not playing the best player at every position on every play. Terrance McGhee is not the best running back and Welter is not your best linebacker, and if Godchaux is your best tackle then you have not been recruiting DT.
Enjoy no bowl this year and maybe Chic-Fil-A in 2015. Glad it's your money paying his $4.3 mill salary.

what about 2006 when LSU lost 4 first round draft picks and more to the draft?

Getting to final four us not the same as winning. We got to 1/9/2012 too

And no one else lost players to the NFL? What about that vaunted OL that was going to help ease the QB transition? We have the continued sloppiness, miscues and clock issues. How's that related to our youth?

We had NFL talent waiting to fill the spots as they didn't all leave early in 2006. We've had a record number of juniors leave in the past 2 years which decimates our development system. It is simple logic but the majority of our fans can't handle that.
If I recall, the almighty Saban had a couple seasons where he lost more than 3 games. He is still the greatest thing to happen to this program though according to you idiots.

Dude, when you use John Brady to try to defend less miles. You're really grasping for straws so please find another argument LOL.

We are getting embarrassed, curb stomped, humiliated not competitive.
That's the problem most of us have.
