Good for jimbo

I remember walking through an airport, when jimbo was the LSU OC, and seeing him sitting by himself with a duffle bag and a newspaper, waiting on a flight. He was traveling certainly on a recruiting trip and no one knew who he was or cared. He had an LSU polo on and I remember walking by him giving a quick "geaux tigers" and he looked up and gave me a tired smile.
It's often times a lonely road for football coaches and I'm glad to see him on top of the world tonight. He seems like one of the good guys.

Had the pleasure to talk with Jimbo in the hotel lobby the morning after the loss to Iowa and Saban's departure. He is a gentleman; congratulations to him.

Really happy for Jimbo. He is a much better HC than OC. Hats off to the Noles

Wonder why Skip didn't give him the chance here?

He's the reason I kind of rooted for Florida State. Did a lot for LSU. Very nice guy and a fantastic head coach. Good for him.

Jimbo coached my Saban football camp team to the championship their first year here!

I agree. It was nice to see him be able to celebrate this with his family.

And the situation with his child is all the more reason to admire him.

Nothing against the guy personally, but I wasn't sad to see him leave LSU. Offense wasnt as consistent as it should've been

The power brokers stated publicly that, at the time, they didn't think he was ready for the job. Said they wanted a sitting head coach.
