Don't back down. Give Picket #5 and let him ball out. Jayden isn't some patron Saint... he won an individual trophy in a team game for a team that won 9 games and then sat out the bowl game.
Im not saying retire 9 but in reality 2019 was the most important LSU season since probably 2001. You take away 2019 and we havent won a title since 2007 havent played for one since 2011, tons of mediocre years.
Take away Daniels and instead of playing for the Cheez it Championship were playing for a weedeater in Shreveport... big difference

Swap Dave Aranda for Matt House in 2023, and we are playing for another Natty. Daniels was elite. Let's not pretend that he wasn't. The season is forgettable b/c it was the worst defense in LSU history. Quit shitting on Daniels b/c Matt House ruined that season.

Matt House took 39 scholarship players and made them a top 25 defense year 1. BTW, every one's favorite player Harold Perkins had his only good year this year.
Year 2, he loses most of his D line to injury, which BTW, had no DL coach for like 9 months, an AWFUL secondary also due to injury, with some of the worst talent I have ever seen. DBs and Safeties lost in high school cover 2, and this board blamed House. House left LSU and went right back to the NFL and hasn't been fired since. In fact, KC took him back the first year they had an opening, and he's done nothing but make that LB core even better. KC plays with 2 LBs mostly, and BOTH Nick Bolton and Drue Tranquil are in the top 20.

Trying to pretend House was a good DC here is ridiculous. He literally could have blitzed every play and had a better defense than he coordinated. He was absolutely awful. I don’t care if he can coach two linebackers in the NFL. He had one of the worst LSU defenses of all time.
