screw this national "high dollar" recruiting bullshite.

I'll take 3 star La players every time over these Prima donnas that are demanding the bank to play here!

NOTE: Texas, LSU, Oregon, Bama all lost this weekend....high payroll teams.

We only start 3 Louisiana players, or did. I think one was Bordelon at G so its down to two now.
We do not produce a lot of OL or have not in recent memory. It’s just a fact. They are few and far between.

When the 3 star from Louisiana proves he's any good he's going to want big money too.

Here’s the thing, kid

The Louisiana players want to get paid to. They are going to the highest bidder

I understand your Louisiana loyalty, and I’m not against you, but the equation entails much more here in 2026, so you gotta leave it to the professionals at this point.

Yes, that's a sad fact.

The days of the Albergamo's, Andolsek's, Faneca's, Whitworths and Campbell's seems to be over.

why that is.............

frick off with this shite. We will likely take some of those players to fill out the back end of the roster, but you aren’t winning titles depending on those players to bolster the 2-deep.

If you want to win, you have to have top-end talent across the 2-deep. Period. The only recent exception is Indiana, which depended on some guys who had lower star ratings, but who were in years 5-7 of college football. That loophole is now closed with 5 for 5, so don’t even bring that shite up here.

I think the challenge now and moving forward will be identifying players who aren’t in it JUST for the money.

They’re all gonna be about the money, but some will still work hard and be good teammates and others won’t.

The best teams will be the best at distinguishing this and/or keeping them on the good track after they get paid.

It may take some time to surface. A good OL needs time to brew and build chemistry. They are not plug and play like finesse positions may be. I understand NIL but that does not men I need to like it.
Gimme old school football all damn day.

And this the reason why we can't play with the big boys. UGA, Texas, Oregon, Bama, and OSU will always be on top. The school and fans are not scared to spend money.

I think you are spot on. That’s one thing Glasscock is supposedly very good at.

OSU and Bama don’t spend at the levels of some other top programs. Neither does UGA. They all still primarily use NIL for recruiting and for retention. Then they supplement with the portal.

Despite what people on this board seem to believe, this is still the most reliable method to build a consistent program. Even Kiffin is already leaning harder into recruiting here than he did at OM.
