Only 3 down linemen on the play. None in the middle. Did he just think he had the play off?

The Alabama linebacker had to think he was invisible.

It’s terrible situational awareness.

You could not afford a turnover on that drive.

It was first down.

There’s essentially two blitz bail outs. Taylor and Durham.

You have a linebacker coming in head on without being touched. He obviously saw it. If you don’t feel comfortable throwing to a spot to Taylor.Throw it at durhams feet.

Live to fight another day.

It’s like INT number 1 vs TAMU.

Punting in that Tamu situation was not a bad thing.

In the Commanders game they spoke with Daniels and they said that he was prioritized say 1 by Herm Edward’s make every drive end with kicking the ball (XP FG or punt) 2/3 are wins and the other 1/3 doesn’t lose you the game.

I’m with you! I’ve been posting for weeks that Chester is the worse starter on the OL and should be benched. Naturally criticized by many idiots on this board that thing they know everything. This video proves he is pure dog shite! Wonder why Kirby never offered him since he is from Georgia. Brad Davis needs to be held accountable for this so called elite OL that now is the weakest position group on the team!

Bad block & even worse QB decision

Agree.

My guess is most QBs only get a clean pocket about half the time if that. They have to improvise and make good decisions.

It was a total whiff by the C but it's right in front of Nuss. Nuss didn't have to compound things by making it worse.

That looked intentional if I’m being honest

Nuss was probably shocked to see that guy in his face before he had time to react. The center suppose to call all blocking assignments. Chester failed miserably. 100% Chester’s fault.

Gotta flush right, or loop it into the flat to the RB, or just ground it at his feet

Take the sack. Stop trying to make miracles happen on every play.

At the same time if it’s out to mason Taylor it’s a 4-5 yard gain OR just throw it at durhams feet and we are playing second down.

I get it, and he wasn’t good yesterday, but come on man, Nuss didn’t have time to make that throw

Literally any person with a pulse would have performed better than Chester on that play. If I were his coach he would be benched for a very long time.

Actually the RB Caden Durham was supposed to stay home
and pick up the Blitz that wasn’t on Chester that’s FB 101

What should the QB have done differently? Not talking about the fumble, you said decision

To throw it at durhams feet?

At the point that nuss is pressing the circle button it’s no different than anyone who is grounding a screen pass. That’s a play that’s done minimum once a game.

Good decision vs playing hero ball.

I’ll give you that the Taylor pass would have been tougher but would have been a read that some would have made even prior to Chester whiffing.

Ive said for weeks that the C spot should be up for grabs in the offseason with Coen Echols given a real chance to compete to win the job. A month ago nobody wanted to hear it and DV'd me into oblivian. I'm guessing everybody feels different about it now.

I'm not one to bash players rather than coaches. But, Chester is the difference in us having 1 loss vs 3. He's the worst center I've seen in 30 years of following the Tigers.

Come on Chester. How much are they paying you in NIL for plays like that?
