So I'm order to be a real fan you had to have been a fan since before the year 2000? Got it. I didn't realize there was an age limit on fandom.

It's the Jersey Shore/Housewives generation. Stomp, scream, cuss, hold your breath like a reality star. It's the only way they know to show they care.

I'm complaining and I've been a fully conscience fan since at least 1981 (born 75). Orgeron is on par with Curley. It just so happens he inherited a much better program.

People are pissed because the last two major hires this university had for the football team went like this:

A. Offer one or two longshot candidates that we have no chance in hell of getting.

B. Promote someone already on staff, even though they’re probably not qualified for the job.

It’s 100% on our AD, who best case is incompetent at his job and worst case, just doesn’t give a shite.

So as a true tiger fan

Two things can be true, I can be a true tiger fan and not support the coach. I support the TEAM, the university. Just because people don't want O as a coach doesn't mean they aren't true TIGERS.

where we are right now as a program is much closer to where we were in 1988 than where we were in 2011.
Perfect description.

And for those of us who go further back to the days/years that led up to 1988 - I mean the prolonged battles fought over the Dietzel succession after he bolted, the refusal to fully accept Cholly Mac, the years of “help Mac Pack” ugliness, the messy forced retirement pushing him out, the political maneuvering spread pre and post that, the Bo Rein tragedy, the Jerry “One of Us” Stovall failed experiment, then Arnsparger, Archer, Hallman, Dinardo (magic back...briefly).

Reload with Saban in the Dietzel role. He bolts. Follow with Miles in the Mac role. Wear him down with continual negativity and force him out and start the parade of instability all over - begin with Alleva, Alexander and O.

Where it stops now, nobody knows. It just isn’t good for LSU and none of us want to believe we’ve actually slipped right back into the same destructive spiral of misery. But here we are. So maybe those who do not learn from history truly are doomed to repeat it.

Nice edit. You should have included the statement "he just so happened to inherit a much better program".

He won't be sniffing a 9 win season soon enough. He just hasn't finished destroying everything Saban and Miles built and maintained respectively.
