Want to see Nuss run up some crazy numbers for everyone to remember come September. Throw in a hundy and-a-half for Durham on the ground just for good measure.

Bowls need to go by the way if the dodo bird now that the 12 team playoffs are a thing

C for me.

That would be a Super Bowl for Tulane and half of our starters would opt out.

Not if that means you lose 15 bowl practices.

I personally think all schools should be able to practice between semesters. When I was in college, I worked throughout the break, ans these guys are paid a helluva lot more than me...

Meh, the fact that Tulane is decent-to-good now makes it interesting from a Louisiana standpoint.

It’s very unlikely to last much longer. Sumerall was a great hire, but he may be gone this offseason. UNC will likely make a play for him. And if he doesn’t leave this offseason, he’s gone next year.

I follow Memphis as well as LSU and can tell you, it’s possible to make two great hires when you have a good AD and establish a rep as a great stepping stone to a higher position. However, it’s almost impossible to go 3 for 3. Memphis spends a LOT more on football and recruiting than Tulane, but they aren’t succeeding at the same level because Silverfield isn’t on the same level as Fuente as a coach and builder or Norvell as a coach and recruiter.

When Sumerall does get hired away, expect a slide to begin. They may not suck, but they aren’t going to maintain their current level long term.

I’d much rather play a middling B10, ACC or B12 school like we have the last two years.

B- when we used to play them regularly I used to have to pay for a home game as a part of my season ticket package. The series became so mind-numbingly uncompetitive that I could not even give my tickets away.

Worst case scenario is our players wouldn't care and half would opt out, all the while Tulane gets everyone up and psyched up to play us, and then they bring the passion and desire and pull off a win. They also beat USC and we didn't.

Tulane would smoke LSU in a bowl this year.
It will be Tulanes Super Bowl.
Tulane still has a realistic shot at the playoffs, which would be pretty awesome.

No they wouldn't. IMO having watched Tulane alot this season. Tulane is more physical and better coached than LSU.
