Nuss in our 3 biggest games (OM, ALA, A&M). 5 TD 7INT. Average completion percentage of around 55%.

There is not one time this year in a big game where I was confident in Garrett. I think he has a really really bad turnover problem. Another thing I think he lacks is pocket awareness. Those are two of the hardest things to reverse in a QB.

I wouldn’t be necessarily opposed to him coming back and being held on an extremely short leash but man. For the QB I once thought so highly of its hard for me to even say it. He might be arse.

Maybe an offseason of work will help him take the next step? Maybe it proves he’s bad.

We have no run game and no defense. He's got to be the hero every drive to keep us in the game. We really have become Texas Tech.

“Garrett Nussmeier is bad and will never have us compete at a high level in the SEC “in 2024

“Jayden Daniels is bad and will never have us compete at a high level in the SEC “in 2022

“Joe Burrow is bad and will never have us compete at a high level in the SEC” in 2018

I don’t know if he’s good or not but:

1. If he ran more he’d be better. He might not be able to for whatever reason
2. The interior oline is not helping
3. Not having any good receivers or “bayou ballers” is not helping.

So it’s hard to fully blame him for everything. But yeah it hasn’t looked great

Multiple rankings had Kellen Mond above Burrow coming into 2019

yes I agree people have always said those things. But this has looked far worse than those two and it’s not close

To be fair, Joe burrow was clearly not the issue. He was excellent and I said that long before the idiots who think he "woke up" against ucf. JD shocked me though. I didn't expect him to develop that much in his time and that was absolutely remarkable how much he improved. If nuss takes that off season leap, ill be more shocked than JDs amazing improvement. Nuss doesn't have wheels, his vision is lacking, and his brain steps down during pressure. If nuss ends up turning the corner on these issues that I swear LSU is the premier QB development school. I'm glad sanity has returned and we're not talking about nuss going 7th pick in the draft lol I thought I'd slipped into an alternative universe.

what a fkn idiot. Your IQ may be 75. Not anywhere in your bs did you mention the pathetic interior OL.....which has allowed 12 sacks over 10 quarters with jail breaks right up the middle every single play.....when he had 2 sacks the first 30 quarters.....mainly due to great pocket awareness. When SEC studs are coming at you untouched it is kind of hard to be successful...especially with average WRS and complete garbage OC.

What pocket? The two guards and center get routinely whipped and there is no chance to step up into a pocket.

Yeah. Nuss has struggled lately but this take is pathetically stupid. If you can't see the bullshite around him then maybe you should post less.

and in the last 3 he has had how many turnovers on our own side of the field?

It’s not all on him. I think it’s ridiculous that our fan base didn’t see this coming to some extent. He’s following Jayden Daniels. Doesn’t make it ok but I believe many people thought we’d be great on offense again. It’s unreal expectations. Not to mention our O Line sucks and Nuss moves like a geriatric. QBs have to have some mobility in todays game.

Doesn't change the fact that he always throws off his back foot, sees ghosts and isn't consistently accurate. He was those things while only being sacked twice in the first 9 games. He's a poor man's Jarrett Lee. Lee was only scared of Bama. Nuss is scared of everyone.
We ran for 160 Saturday and had 90 offensive snaps. The defense kept us in the game while we were kicking field goals. What did Nuss do?

He throws off his back foot constantly and pisses down his leg when there is pressure

After the way this board vilified Jayden Daniels in 2022, I will never consider this board’s opinion on a QB ever again.

The defense sucked as bad the offense. They gave up 8 yards per play and 27 points in 18 minutes of possession. To a freshman QB on one leg.

Good idea. Around that same time frame, they had Walker Howard penciled in as the next great one. It’s probably a good thing to be on the wrong side the Rant’s QB evals.
