Congrats SB. But I think their pitching gets ripped in Omaha. It got slapped around in the regional, they just outscored teams. This is the poorest hitting LSU team in the 26 years I've followed them- by far. And it wouldn't surprise me if Javi got a raise- simply because we won the SEC. Embarrassing. Frustrating. Disappointing. We just made a no-name pitcher look like an all-star. Incredible. Again congrats SB. You played like champs.

On the radio you would think LSU was taking the lap.

Fans in the stands after the game were very classy giving SB a nice round of applause. This is by far the greatest moment in Stony Brook sports history. You guys have been there before in every sport and will be there again, and again, and again. I cannot overstate how big this is for Stony Brook. Hopefully there are bigger and better things to come for our athletics, but realistically this may be our crowning achievement ever. Thanks for lettine me read your boards for a week. Truly an honor watching such a passionate and devoted fan base at work.

Last year's team was worse, but it is basically the same players. Everyone goes gaga over Rhymes' average, but LSU better do some serious work on the offensive end if this team is to be better next year. The pieces are in place (I think Aaron Nola is going to be a flat out stud next year), but they have to be better in the OF and at the plate.

Everyone knew this team overachieved based on the amount of talent we had.

That's cool. Win or lose, I like that the fans that go to games understand what makes the Box so special. Many teams break under the pressure of the Box. The ones that don't deserve to be congratulated.

Hope we get there soon. We have high expectations.

Since my brother played with Joe Nathan under Senk, I am not too down and out. Hope you stick around. This is a great board. Many here will root for SB going forward. I know I will.

That wasn't even a ULL or ULM level outfield LSU put out there tonight
See what a team with outfield speed and plate discipline can do

LSU has a ways to go. That was the worst LSU outfield (maybe the worst D1 outfield) I've ever seen. We also have no concept of situational hitting, or how to drive a pitch where it is thrown. The 2 best offensive teams I've seen this year are Florida and Stony Brook.

Lots of injuries in the OF. Good season. Never want it to end.

Our bats suck.

truth.....
but that aside, Stony Brook is a GREAT team.... a couple of their guys (greasy mullet, Carmona, the anesthesiologist, etc.) were impeccable... they were way better than their seeding, and i think alot of casual fans saw were facing a #4 seed team from a college that most here have never heard of and basically just assumed we'd roll like usual.... after all we did win the regular season SEC title, which just happens to be the best conference in college baseball....
but Stony Brook had a lot to say about how good the SEC/LSU/etc. is.... they were just better, plain and simple, than we were..... hats off to them..... hope they do well, but i don't think they stand much of a chance vs. Florida, Florida St., S. Carolina, and UCLA.....

They are the most disciplined team at the plate I have seen this year. Truly outstanding.
Tough loss. I think y'all overachieved a bit, which does not make the loss tonight feel any better, but I think it is true.
Jeebus, Stoney Brook in and now Kent State feeding off that same giant killer vibe. Nothing about this CWS makes me think UF can't be 0-2 and BBQue ourselves. On to football Tiggers.
