The administration doesn’t have a problem with Miles. But there fan base is fractionalized into 2 very strong groups. They have to agree on any hire.

Why would they hire a coach that is guaranteed to have the same issues as the current HC?

Because the soccer moms, zero IQ fans, and Lloyd Carr’s wife will be clamoring for him.

You forgot one Big stat, has the highest winning percentage of all time as the Lsu football coach. I'm not defending him his last 5 yrs plus the 2012 natty game but at least give him credit for that. His biggest fault, not evoking like Nick.

[quote]Miles will never and has never been pursued by Michigan to be their HC. Harbaugh is fine and will be fine. When Urbans recruiting influence is gone from Ohio State Harbaugh will control the Big-10 unless he grows impatient and bails.[/quote

Ryam Day recruits at as high a level as Urban... has the 2nd and 4th rated recruiter in cf ib brian hartline and Jeff hafley.

Kansas has the talent of Lamar U. or Texas Southern. He did beat big game Bob Stoops @ Oklahoma a few times. With Michigan talent he could beat Ryan Day.

Actually Ed Orgeron has the highest win pct in LSU history 78% (Miles 77%). And Saban has the highest SEC win pct in LSU history not Miles.

That’s not a factual argument it’s a prediction based on bias and has nothing to do with the Miles comparison. Even if your prediction is true he’s not going to be fired

If coach O maintains that over 11 yrs he'll go down as the greatest coach in LSU s history. Might even put up a statue of him.

Day hasn’t brought in a single class of his own yet.

Hell YES! Les almost beat Texas this past week. He is a hell of a coach no matter how you slice it and dice it. He's proved it his entire career. He also knows how to recruit. I think he could possibly win a Natty if he goes to THE University of Michigan! Irony of it all is Saban wanted UofM job and never got it. I would bet even odds that Michigan would actually take Les over tricky Nicky if given the option. Michigan is loyal to its alumni. Otherwise, Harbaugh would be gone long before now. Anyway, would be great to see Miles coaching the Wolverines!!!!!

In no way has Les evolved. If he ran the LSU offense at Kansas he would not win a single game. If he had the talent to run it he’d go right back to his LSU days

Only OSU is likely to beat Michigan. But that's a sore spot for both Michiganders and Michigeese.

Try to remember the fun times when he was here instead of the head scratchers. Those Florida games will always be special.

Michigan might be the most overrated job in the country. Not many good football players up there. The Big House is overrated, overrated tradition. Ohio State owns them, at least recently.
