Not big on Gruden. Dude is an ego-maniac and SEVERAL of his former NFL guys have come out and said they didn't like him. His abrasive style may work some in the league but IDK about the college ranks.

I say we stay with miles as long as we can. He is building something very solid here. He doesnt appear to want to leave for supposedly greener pastures (Nick?). Let's be thankful for what we have got

I like Les Miles and really hope he stays a while. It seems as though he truly has a connection and cares about his players.
But if he goes, Tubberville is welcome here by me. I mean, he did fantastic at Auburn with little to nothing. It'd be insane when he came to LSU and cleaned house. He'd only be winning with Les Miles' players though.

Cholly Mac, if he wasn't dead RIP. Otherwise, Jeff Lebowski. Mark it, dude.

I'd go along with J. Lee as LSU's coach.
He has limited experience, but he did play offense and defense last yr.

J. LEE sucked worse on defense than he did at QB last season, we gave up 6 pnts just about every time he forced himself into that role.
On a serious note, I hate the bad rap that kid got last season. He has a rocket arm and enough balls to test tight coverage. I like a QB who makes defenses actually defend the entire field. He tried to be a quick decision maker, he was just hanging his nuts out on the line too much last season. If he does not transfer he could prove to be an asset to us in the future if we face a dilemma like Florida and USC got in this season. If he was smart he would transfer. I think he would be a solid starter in an easier conference, like the Southland, Sunbelt, Pac 10 or Big 10.

Cowton will not get a head coaching job on a big stage.

John Lombardi brings in Steve Spurrier

Taking into account the seriousness of this post and the pending demise of the football program, I believe that we should seek out a coach with these qualities:
1) proven history
2) a man who has the respect of both past and present players
3) a man who puts fear into the hearts of opposing coaches
4) a man who is acknowledged as one of the greatest coaches in football history
I therefore recommend and place into consideration... Vince Lombardi.

agree...this was more about "down the line somewhere" vs. next year
and, honestly, I just don't get the Tuberville infatuation...

WTF? Is there any other undefeated team in the nation whose fans are talking about their next coach? Les isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Just relax a little and enjoy the ride, people. Stop trying to create a story where there is none.
