Why? He's a good coach, but how do we know he'd be good at the college game (recruiting, amateurs vs pros, etc.)?
If Gruden were to coach at a big school, recruiting would be easy. I mean, the man won a superbowl, coached some of the biggest names in sports, commentated Monday Night Football. These things would make recruiting easy IMO. Plus, when it comes down to it, he is still a football coach. I dont think it would be shite for him to coach amateur athletes. I still think he finds himself an NFL gig after this season tho.

hard for me to believe those numbers and how did they come about?
-------------------------------------------------
probabilities on
- Pelini - 2.5%
- Muschamp - 3 %
- Dooley - 1.5%
- Karl Dunbar - .75%
- Crowton 1%
- others 97%
-------------------------------------------------
personally i realy like Muschamp but he is in line waiting the Longhorn job.
Pelini just left, would he come back to all the negativity that people dished out to him here?
Dooley i like very much but would he stay or eventually follow his papa's legacy at Georgia?
and who wouldn't want Tubberville, the most hated opponent's coach for a reason. the man can get the job done; they were in every game until the wheels came off last season while he was at Auburn and before that at Ole Misses.
one name i haven't heard here and i think he would do a great job if he would come; that is Sarkisian

Gruden: I know what it takes to get you to the show.
Recruit: Where do I sign?

+ 1 this all good and dandy to talk about but this question will not have to be answered till 5-10 years later if not longer than that if he can average 9-10 wins a year and keep bringing in talent. Most of the coaches will have there on gig by then but who cares we can pretty much get anyone we want!

Jarret Lee
I think Coach Miles will be at LSU long time, 20-30 years. He'll be like a Joe Paterno type legend and we will just wheel him in and place him on the sidelines, let him know where he is at.
Jarret Lee seems like the kind of guy who will go into coaching., 20-30 years from now should be ready to take over the reigns at LSU
