Remove the bullpens and use that extra foil territory space for something on each side for starters. Get the fans closer To the game so it’s louder
The best way to get things louder is to get more fans in their seats and to play more meaningful games.

Should have been done years ago.

Can they put a speaker in every seat of the Gold and Green sections to make crowd noise? Like sounds of the Old Box!!! Chris and old Girl that cheer are getting old and the Box just not rocking like it used to!

Well they are playing 3 meaningful games this weekend.

I thought the bullpen affecting the play was in a regional from like 2016. Could be wrong though. I believe Rice got screwed by that bullpen, then also one of their players didn’t grab a ball that got lodged underneath the wall in RF, and whoever it was, ended up scoring an in the park homer?

Say a prayer that I hit the Power Ball and I'll pay for the New, New, Alex Box myself. No lie.
Want functional but different? Something along the lines of the Milb yard in Frisco, TX. Unique Lux boxes, good outfield seating room, and berm space with bullpens off the field. Corpus Christi is much the same with traditional Luxury boxes.
El Paso and Round Rock have cool outfield balcony/porches for examples. (We can dream, anyway.)
For now, let's get the pens into the outfield and get a little creative with the bleachers out there on both sides so they don't just look like...well...bleachers. We need to get some personality like AB1 had into AB2.
We need to turn an angle to the foul lines out past the infield dirt and run the seating up close all the way down to cut down on foul territory - and get fans closer to the field. This is nothing earth shaking and if they had to do it on the cheap it could still be functional. There's prolly a hundred stadiums like this.
That should be done even if we have to stay with bleacher style.
It sucks that AB is behind any SEC facility.

They fricked this whole thing up trying to build a replica. It's hypocritical to act like you wanted to recreate the magic of the old Box while simultaneously making the new one a corporate butt sniffer like the rest of the facilities.
This issue IMO is getting people to go and stay in their seats in 2022 vs 2005. Think about how far TV and internet has come in the last 15-20 years. I think the berm/party areas, premium sections, suites all help with getting people in the seats and then providing something different to keep people at the game - all at different price points.

They also need to widen Gourier. It is a major cluster when coming in for the games or leaving when the stadium is packed or people stay for the whole game. The turn lanes into the parking lot help some but not enough.

We need suites with bourbon street style balconies in left or right field. Get a raucous Mardi Gras environment going with beads, titties and all
Those could be the luxury boxes all around the stadium. Look at the Milb yard in Frisco, TX. for an example.
I think you're on to something here!

Whatever they do, they need to do it big
We have fallen behind in the program that we have dominated..

You win 96.
You'll be the first person I call when I hit the Power Ball!

Bullpens need to be behind the wall in the outfield immediately!

Fundraising for moving the bullpens and swapping to all chair backs would be the quickest campaign in TAF history. There is literally no opposition.

Get the PMAC squared away FIRST. Multiple sports use that arena.

How about making LF sections 124-130 something other than the bleachers from the old Box?
Posted on 4/26/22 at 12:09 pm to The Boat
quote:Yeah it was BS. 2009 was the first year I had my tickets out there and a guy who had them at the old box said they told him the old bleachers were a one year thing and would be replaced with chair back bleachers in year two. Those went to RF instead and the 30 year old bleachers are still in LF.
LSU claimed the people who sat in those bleachers behind left field asked LSU to do that. Sounds like LSU covering their arse to me. That’s where mikelbr and hch sit so we can blame them.

It’ll never be ready in time.

This. When it's 95 degrees outside, going and sitting on scorching hot metal bleachers and drinking $10 beers just isn't a good time for most people. They have to add something that will make the entire experience more fun/enjoyable. To me, the easiest way to do this is chairbacks, extended overhang, and a general admission grill & drink area.

No half measures. Get it right or itll be another 20 years for the next phase to get done
Just duplicate and extend the Grandstand all the way down both sides with all Purple or all Gold seats........
