At this point I would rather have Johnny Jones back. I would settle for the ghost of Tex Winter even. If you are going to frick the basketball program at least do it with people we know suck. I couldn’t have less confidence in McMahon at this point

Get better players. SEC caliber players. Thats how you fix it. These SWAC level players LSU has will never get it done in the best conference in America now. And idk if MM can get those level of players to LSU.

The problem is we have no identity, so we recruit players who have a the highest ranking we can get but they work well together because they are committed g to a team who has no kind of identity. Of you take the recruiting rankings I’d bet us and Auburn are not far apart, the difference is they recruit the type of player that fits pearls system. You can have all the top 50 players ya want, if ya do t have a system in place for their type your gonna lose

bullshite.

When it’s a significantly different roster each year but the same exact issue with the same exact coach the problem is the constant. If McMahon was coaching the guys in blue tonight they would have 14+ turnovers too.

He really is a terrible coach. The turnovers and lack of rebounding are so damn frustrating. They can be fixed fairly easily, when compared to other things, but it's been this way since he came here and it won't change as long as MM is the coach.

No, sir. This team shot its wad vs Alabama and Auburn. I think you'll see a much worse performance, if such a thing is possible vs Texas on Saturday. I think the team has tanked and won't win any more games this year.

Did you see the passes? How do you fix guys throwing into spaces that aren’t there? I believe there’s some drills they can do to work on something’s but the game is moving faster than some guys can process. Can’t bench them, they don’t have anyone better. Rotate watch and hope the game slows down. Rebounding was bad on the defensive end. A positive, Auburn didn’t turn them into points for the most part. We don’t have the horses right now. We got some guys who may turn the corner next year but he’s got to bring in shooters.

Let's face the FACTS.......Mcmahon CAN'T COACH. There are 50 better High School Coaches in Louisiana. Woodward can only hire BIG $$$$ COACHES. He couldn't find a talented startup if it slapped in the face. TURN PAGE, MOVE ON.

We are just too soft, we get pushed around by almost everyone we play. We were in position alot for rebounds and loose balls but just were not strong enough.

I think the turnovers are somewhat a by-product of the lack of toughness and physicality as well, we get pushed off our spots or can't get to our spots if we're defended with physicality, our screens tend to be a bit passive and we get no separation from defenders.

Whatever it is we are trying to do offensively, for varied reasons we can't execute it, we really should try something else. Rarely do we score off any action we run it more often turns out a frenetic series of events leading to a hurried 3 or contested shot that sometimes falls or gets us to the free throw line. It's just very hard to watch.

We actually do pretty good when we push and get early offense, we IMHO should really try to do that more.

All these things are the coaches fault.

Run an actual offense that gets guys open, thats how you fix it.

Nobody is open, there is no separation from defenders. I think my first attempt at fixing this would be to try a different offense or different actions or sets that do a better job of creating space off the ball between my guys and defenders.

Mcmahon’s going to have to start more off ball action. It’s just way too easy for teams to double off of our no motion offense

I’m not a basketball savant by any stretch of anyone’s imagination, but I noticed this during the game last night too. It seems like if our guys aren’t setting pics for the ball handler they really aren’t moving. The best teams and players are so damn active without the ball with back cuts and quick passes, I just can’t understand why there isn’t more movement when you don’t have the ball

Watch Purdue play. Constant movement even the last few years when they were built to play inside to a 7’6 giant Edey. You will have nights the shots don’t fall but at least you’ll get much better looks than we are getting. Do people still think McMahon is a “great x/o coach?”

Add in the lack of flow/good movement with a lot of screens as being non-existent within this offense. Pretty easy to guard somebody if they just stand around and aren't coming off of screens.

Bailey isn't that talented either, lacks quickness to beat guys off the dribble and can't shoot well.

How many turnovers on fast breaks? Saw least 3. Get a stop then turn it over passing down court or a lazy pass. We still pick up our dribble without knowing where to go with the ball. Some is coaching some is on the players.

This is pitiful. We have some talent on the team but can’t overcome these sorts of stats without ELITE talent.

100% correct! You know what doesn't take alot of ELITE talent? Fundamentals.

Turnovers and Free Throws, blocking out, rebounding, etc. LSU is piss poor in all of those categories. Thats on coaching.

do you understand that the NET is the reason you will or will not make the tournament?

the NET is WHY they will or will not make the tournament. and if they don't, it wont be because they lost to #1.
