I don’t think the SEC has done much to justify 14 teams getting in. Not a very good showing to this point.

yeah I don't like a lot of the teams, but if they all bomb out, down the road this could impact the number of teams we get into the tourney. As long as we get 3-4 teams at Omaha, it won't matter, but if we only get 1....I have to believe that will hurt future invites and seedings. I don't get all the hate, I'm proud we are in the SEC and the conference is as strong as it is. It makes winning that more impressive.

we got 13 in, but to your point, yes, it has been a poor showing. If we get 3 teams to Omaha it will be forgotten.

Who is in that didn’t deserve it and how are they doing? Florida, vandy, and bama were no brainers for the tournament. Kentucky and Mississippi St. are the only debatable ones and they are 3 seeds in their regional finals.

I mean, I can think of scenarios where the SEC appearing weak could have some negative impacts on LSU.

It’s also important for the perception od SEC baseball of the future RPI. Or we get to hear some of the same F the SEC guys whining “how can they rank that team higher, the SEC is so much tougher.”
But I gotta admit I’m loving seeing Texas and Vandy in a pickle. ??
