Odd that he’s so angry at LSU fans over this issue.
Ironically, the protection of amateurism was the defense the NCAA used in court cases going back to the 1950’s. They only allowed 1 nationally broadcasted game on tv for that stated reason. In1984 when the NCAA still limited tv games to rough 40 total games aired on barely 3 networks amateurism was the stated reason.
Recently the courts have rejected this argument and have collectively ruled that the NCAA has to follow US laws. No going back and it’s not fault of LSU, CLK, or the judges.
