I am not surprised. When you are that loaded at one position and and have only so many snaps in a game and so many reps in practice. Sometimes even potentially great players get passed up.

No, he's leaving because he didn't play

In which games should he have played more?

I will never worry about receiver talent at LSU. If it's not Brown, it will be someone else.

Ehh, didn't we use to say that about defensive backs?

What Pirate is saying is even in games we had blowed out we still didn't play some of the young guy.

Auburn game. Won by 30 but only 4 receivers and 1 TE caught passes.

When you are up big you don't want to just keep throwing the ball all over the field. That's bad sportsmanship.

I had heard his hands were very questionable. I understand you can improve on that, but this NIL/portal dissuades many from working harder/improving. He very well may be able to start day 1 at another school. That speaks well of the wr talent we currently have.

Maybe, but I remember the Sabin saying if you do not want them running up the score than tackle them.

The 1 ball theory

Do not lose sleep over players that fight for the ball

Keep in mind LSU had the worst defense in the history of football and we had to score every time we had the ball

Wonder if he would be willing to play db.
Probably not with our DC.

That's what Saban told his defense, but he told his offense to let the air out of it when they had a big lead.

4 classes have now joined LSU with bad coaching in the defensive backfield. A little different there.

That is good news. It means, in spite of his super talent, someone beat him out and he is leaving. Gives us another scholarship.

Brown was an investment.

If college football wants to continue with a free market system for the players, then let it truly be free with contracts that say if a player transfers, he owes back all money received plus a penalty. A school's collective shouldn't lose because a freshman didn't make the depth chart.

Or Kelly needs to realize that the old era of players sitting for 2 years before seeing meaningful reps is over and play the damn young players

Bro we had two all American WRs that had insane chemistry with our Heisman QB. You can only play 11 at a time and our defense gave us no reprieve to play younger players with a game well in hand.

If our WR play/offense sucked then maybe you'd have a point but this is what college football is now. Players leave. Schools tamper. You then replace those players the same way they left.

Maybe shoot the kid a tweet and ask him to be patient if it means that much to you.
