Every year LSU has at least one guy who comes in and plays better than their ranking would suggest. Whether it is Justin Jefferson or Greedy Williams or Tyrann Mathieu there is always some 4 or 3 or 2 star who becomes an All American type talent. I think Jordan Toles is a kid who could have that kind of career. Not a lowly ranked guy (4 Star) but I could see him becoming the next 1st Round talent out of DBU.

Xavier Hill is my guess however Alex Adams, Eric Taylor and Kole Taylor have me excited as well.

I do agree Toles will be a stud.

Kole Taylor is interesting. he is a HUGE kid. Get him in a college weight program he’s going to be a monster.

Gone be wild to see him and Gilbert in the Redzone

What does his offspring have anything to DO with his on field production? It’s pretty trashy to bring up his personal life either way. You should be asshamed as a tiger fan

As a freshman, it’s all about opportunity. So that’s a tough question because the answer could easily be None of them this upcoming season.

But longer term, Eric Taylor has good tape at a high level of Alabama HS football. He’s really raw but has a really good combination of size, length and movement skills/athleticism for his size.

Everyone wonders why Bama and Auburn weren’t in the thick of it for an Alabama kid and that premise seems to undermine him as a prospect. It was basically between us and Kentucky.

He looks like a kid who will benefit from a good S&C/nutrition program and technical skill development. But all the raw traits seem to be there and I think there’s a lot of upside

I think there's several in this class who will be better than their ranking suggests. Eric Taylor, Dwight Mcglothern, Koy Moore, Marlon Martinez, Xavier Hill, Alex Adams were all guys that have potential to be really good. I trust our coaches to develop them at a high level.

Coaches were raving about Jordan Toles. He’s the safe bet imo.

For the fun of it I’ll go with Jacobian “Tank” Guillory. State champion power lifter already in the 330’s that was blowing up dudes at the all American game. It’s a solid 330 and he was insanely quick, extremely violent hands and played with outstanding leverage. Imo he’s what people thought Ishmael Sospher was. It’s a good 330 lbs but he’s gonna swap about 15lbs of bad weight for muscle and he’s gonna be extremely tough to keep off the field.

I’m like Urban Meyer - I don’t give a frick what you do against lesser competition. I wanna see you vs the big dogs.

That’s not true.

Florida wanted him bad but backed off when they got Jalen Lee and Bama jumped in late but Taylor stuck with LSU.

So you are wagering the composite 5th ranked safety in the country outplays his ranking. What does that look like?

I’ll go with Eric Taylor becoming the next Bennie Logan

I’ll go with Ali Gaye since no one has mentioned him yet. I mean I was going to say Ojulari but he’s ranked high anyway.

Dwight McGlothern. He has rare ball skills and can play all over the secondary. People forget he was a 5 star most of his high school career before his ranking fell off a cliff for whatever reason. He was amazing in the Army All American game had 2 INT and should’ve been 3 had he held on to another.

I followed his recruitment pretty closely. Kentucky was 2nd. He wasn’t a take for either of the instate schools

This is my pick, he didnt play football till junior year, burst onto the scene and became a bama commit even. If bama wants a kid on OL you should want him. He also is a heck of a basketball player, which he reluctantly gave up for football since there wasnt much hope for a 6'3 300 pounder, lol

Supposedly, Saban fought like a wildcat to steal him away from O until the very end.

Then again, he did the same thing with Donavaughn Campbell

Dwight McGlothern will be a star at LSU. And will be a 1st round draft pick. At one time, as a junior, he was a highly rated 5 star QB. However he played both ways as a senior. He caught 66 passes for 1307 yards and 18 TDs as a WR. He also was first year at a new school. Phenomenal! He’s 6’2”, with obvious superior ball skills.

Edit to add: Oh yeah, and the annual LSU last low rated throw in commit. They always seem to excel way above their rating. So Alex Adams as well.
