Will 5 yard passes and screens work against Arkansas?

Not hard to be 18/21 when there is either a refusal or an inability to throw passes more than 7 yards downfield and half of the passes called are screens.

18 for 21 at an amazing 5.8 yards per carry. It took 21 passes to gain 121 yards. That’s pitiful.

Can’t wait to watch us put up 20 points on the worst defense in the SEC

They’re the worst defense because they haven’t played us yet.

Both Nuss and Van Buren will play against Arkansas. Nuss is still the starter.

Yeah he missed a short one vs Bama. shite happens. Dude has been very solid here for an entire career.

No he hasn't. He has been average at best. He's been 8th or 9th in the SEC every year for FG%. This season, only 2 players in the SEC have missed more FGs than him. He is also one of the least accurate long range FG kickers in the SEC. His career for 50+ yard kicks is 2/6. The Bama kicker Talty is 0-1, and the true freshman Kentucky kicker Kauwe is 1-3.

Ramos is a very average FG kicker and him being a 4-year starter shows how little emphasis the staff (Kelly) put on special teams.

Get ready for a half empty stadium

The stadium was going to be empty if we were 10-0, you people act like there's something to do in Baton Rouge.

At this point in the season with nothing to play for we need to invest playing time on the players that will be here next year, play Hurley or even the two walk ons

They don't want to torpedo whatever pro prospects he has left at this point.

What about MVB's pro prospects? Why would Nuss be anymore "due" playing time than him? Besides, Nuss has 22 starts on film. That torpedo has already left the sub,

The goal is to win the next game and the game after etc. And then win games the season after that. The only reason to start Nuss is that you actually think with he gives you the best chance to win the game against Arkansas. Balance that against starting him hurts your chances of winning next year. I like Frank Wilson and like him a lot. But this is really really dumb decision.

I heard that last year. A Tiger team which already lost four games beat OU by 20. I know the game is in Norman but I'm not in awe of OU. They'll probably lose worse to Bama than we did.

That's the cure? How many TDs did MVB create last week in the redzone?

I don't understand starting Nuss at this point. Start MVB to see how he looks for a whole game with an eye toward next year. I mean, he already started 8 games last year for a bad State team with an awful O-line and put up big numbers against Arkansas (and UGA as well as aTm). Nuss is on his way out. If MVB sucks, then you can say F it and put Nuss back in.

I’d like to keep the redshirt on MVB if we can.
