be real, that sounds about right. I could see by 14, but by 7 or 10 is realistic. They aren't pushovers.

That was out of respect for Patterson's history of success. This game will a bigger blow out than the Oregon game was. Nowhere near the talent that LSU brings to town.

They COULD score 20 and hold us to 27. You're right. It's possible.

But the talent gap alone should be enough to make this a three score ball game in our favor.
Combine that with the fact that Les always has his boys ready for game 1, and I think we roll.

It's not like we exactly run the score up most games. Unless we start scoring off turnovers, I could see 27-20 as a very real possibility.

A lot of you guys are underestimating TCU's strength. They are a lot better football team than you're giving them credit for. They will probably give us all we can handle and them some. It's going to be a nailbiter to the end!

Did LSU learn nothing from the Clemson game about underestimating an opponent?

TCU is going to give LSU all they can handle. I expect LSU to win, but it'll be one hard-faught win. I also expect it to be one helluva feather in LSU's cap by the end of the season as I expect this TCU team to win the Big XII.

this....the arrogance displayed by many on the rant is not supported by historical fact. I seem to remember many on this board talking the same shite before the Clemson game. if Vegas says it should be close then I tend to agree. hope we kill them....but any opening game victory over a top 25 program is a step in the right direction. only time will tell.

get better.

I agree with this. We can't forget that this is a Les Miles coached team. Generally we don't win pretty and almost every game is a real scrap. I see this as an ugly penalty, turnover filled game that won't be decided until late by some remarkable play by our defense to save the day.

Their QB is just coming off rehab and not being in football, and their best defensive player might not play...

We have a lot of questions that need to be answered, but I can understand why people think this might be a blow out..... I'm just hoping for a good game and a W....
