He's gettinf by on strength alone. The squat seems simple but its so techincal. He doesnt have shite form but he doesnt have good form either. He easily putting too much weight on his toes, he's not getting deep enough in the hole which is causing some serious butt wink on the way up because he's stopping his squat before getting down all the way. He's working against that downward momentum to bring the weight to a halt then trying to press upward through it which is causing him to tilt forward slightly and his knees to buckle in slightly everytime. If he would have great form instead of decent form, he would get more out of it. He's still obviously strong as frick though and im glad i dont have to tackle him.

Fournette's squat form is actually pretty good in this video, the only thing that one could argue with is bar position basically.

Is he using the perfect powerlifter squat form, no but he isn't a professional powerlifter, and it's definitely very good form for someone doing reps with 405lbs like its a normal working weight. You can see a number of dudes in gyms all over the place who can work up to that weight, but their form is terrible once they get up there in weight similar to that.

This.

It's not perfect form it's not horrible either. He's keeping his technique throughout the lift and there's no strain.

Well, no he's not. He's def got some butt wink going on. He's not getting deep enough which is causing him to go slightly off balance on the way up. If he would get deeper into the hole, then he would be alot more balanced.

THIS is perfect squat form

Please, tell me how Fournette and the linked squat are the same.

The hobo in the link has a better beard than Fournette, too. Does he have any eligibility left?

every athlete is different due to body variation(ie limb/torso relation), and flexibility. Its not exactly a bad thing if he cannot look exactly like that guy.

Listening to Coach Moffit on 910 right now. Says Key lost a good bit of weight this off season and he needs to get him back in the gym. That is a little concerning. Says Louis Neil will be a monster, squatted some 500+ like 5 or 6 times!

Watching him in HS, then through the recruitment process, I kinda felt guilty about letting myself buy into the ridiculous expectations we all had for him. He pretty much has exceeded them already.

Basically the rounding of your back in the bottom of a squat. Your tailbone kinda tucks underneath your body.

From that angle LF's posture is never compromised
