Ummm after the Kevin Faulk SI came out we lost to Ole Miss at home the next game. It was a curse genius.

I will never forget DiNardo's radio show that week.
He kept trying to remind people that we had another game coming up. Told folks that everyone remembers Billy Cannon's historic run in 1959 but nobody remembers that we lost the following week to Tennessee. While DiNardo was prophetic it would have been nice if he had actually prepared his team instead of relating self fulfilling prophecies.
I don't know if Billy Cannon was on the cover of SI that week in 1959 though.

You guys are so miserable...
Why can't we just be happy for a kid who is doing amazing things for LSU. All the while staying humble and proud to be from Louisiana.

Uh, the week after we beat No. 1 Florida, we lost at home to Ole Miss.
in 1982, when we beat Bama for the first time in like 113 years and were the feature article for college football, I believe we lost to Miss State.
That being said, I think the curse is a team thing. That is to say, since the article is about a player vs. a team, I don't think the curse applies (but I haven't read the article). On top of that, SI has gotten so insignificant, I think the curse is totally dead anyway. I mean, every publication is like what, 10 pages vs. 60 to 70 pages back in the day. I think we can overcome the curse of a now long dead publication which in all likelihood, will not even exist in a few years, at least not in hard print.
