Texas' offense is a joke.
Burrow is 2x the QB Ehlinger is. There defense lost 9 starters and will be done by half.
I see this being a 31-3/38-3 by half game
You're just as bad as the Texas fans being quoted in the OP.

Joe? Burrow sucks. They'll be relying on true frosh RB's?. Their best dB is gone. We're gonna curb stomp them. ?

We’re?? going to win. LSU, Joe Burrow and the entire sec is overrated?.?
I also saw where they were pissed that LSU has been dubbed DBU.

Orlando vs. LSU's offense is going to be an arse kicking the likes we haven't seen since the Sugar Bowl.
It truly is remarkable just how much ridiculous credence has been given to such a meaningless game. Particularly in light of the fact that a large chunk of the key players for Texas in that game WON'T be lining up to play LSU. And in case anyone forgot, LSU also beat UGA last year. In fact, they steamrolled them at a point in the season when UGA actually gave a shite about the game.
Texas should be good. They may very well be really, really good. But to use the UGA game as some sort of evidence of that for THIS season is absurd

I wonder what the "U" message boards looked like prior to us playing them?
Hmmmmmm
After all, the "U" had the TURNOVER CHAIN
WHoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

Texas D will make Joe Burrow look like Holgorsen after a five day bender. Either that or we will just slap him naked and hide his clothes. Then we will win all the remaining games on the schedule and put the SECSECSEC superiority bullshite to bed for 2020.
I'm sure Burrow is SOOOO scared of that 110th ranked passing defense.

I think it’s ridiculous that the media has pretty much given LSU this “DBU” title but whatever. Our DBs have had way more success in the pros and we’ve been doing it for atleast the past 20 years but to each thier own

Burrow vs that defense or Ehlinger vs this LSU defense? Which one are you taking?
I'd say that about sums it up. LSU's defense will be better than the Texas D with the offenses about even.
Could Texas win? Of course. They're a good team at home. Will they "mudhole" us? Uhhhhh, NO.

Everyone knows they don't play defense in the Big XII. They beat an unmotivated UGA in the Sugar Bowl & now they think their defense is elite.

Their confidence is somewhat founded as they ended last season on an upswing

Texas, TCU, and Iowa State should each have a solid defense. The rest of the conference should be pretty bad.

Texas wasn’t great before they lost 9 starters

I’m not a horn hater. I have a friend who is like a brother and I sometimes attend Longhorn games with him. But as ALWAYS when discussing Horn fans, their insularity is what stands out. You read that thread and it’s obvious they have no idea what LSU is all about, either in September or historically. They are Longhorn fans in the state of Texas manner, but they aren’t knowledgeable cfb fans .I must say I smile as they minimize our dB tradition, the same week J Robinson goes into the NFL HOF. The whole thread is good for giggles.

Anybody thinking we're going to march into DKR and walk out with a 30 point win is smoking something I'd like to partake in. Is it possible? Sure. Is it probable? No. Likely, LSU will attack UT's apparent weakness, which is its front 7. So LSU will be giving UT a steady dose of CEH, Fournette, Emery, Curry, and Davis. O and Burrow. There are just too many playmakers in LSU's backfield to not expose what appears to be a weak front 7. So it's gonna be a pretty low scoring game as LSU tries to exercise ball control and keep UT off the field.
LSU's defense will have its hands full. Ehlinger is a better Nick Fitzgerald, who LSU embarrassed last year, but who embarrassed LSU in 2017. Don't sleep on UT's ability to move the ball.
The good thing is that UT's strength is going against LSU's strength and I think LSU just has more playmakers defensively and can win that battle. If UT's defense is as bad as it really could be, particularly in game 2, as all these guys find their feet, LSU's offense should be fine, but UT had a legit defense last year and have some talent there. I don't think it's going to be that easy to just run the ball, though it does appear that that will be UT's weak point.
I'd love for LSU to walk into DKR and make UT look like pretenders. But the likelier scenario is a hard fought, lower scoring game as LSU grounds and pounds, opening up running lanes here and there with quick hit passes and enough play action to keep UT's safeties honest.

Thank you for posting those lsuson, I was worried that Texas fans had concerns for this game, I am super glad to see they are brimming with confidence!
You see it is much more fun watching their reactions to the loss when they think they are going to destroy us, then if they feel they were fortunate to come away with the win!
When we beat those idiots it will be that much more enjoyable watching them melt!!!

Delusion is their M.O. They think Sterns is a "way better" safety than Delpit and LSU's secondary cannot stay on the same field as theirs.

Texas has one natty n the last 50 years. And outside of a few good years w/ colt and Vince they haven’t been relevant since the 60’s.

We need to pull a Will Wade and call timeout in the late 4th quarter, while possessing a comfortable lead. Let me marinate on the loss during a long commercial break.
It will be fun to watch the UT fans file out of the stadium early. They are exactly like Cowboy fans, who think they are owed success.
